He’s undeniably sexy. He’s cruel and inappropriate but it’s dope cause he rides a dragon

The one thing I want from their eventual marriage is that there is real love behind the sexual tension. Sure, it is also politically important for Rhaenrya to get silver-haired heirs to the throne, and for both her and Daemon, it's a huge power move, but I want the foundation to be love. Forbidden love. We know Targaryens practice incestuous couplings to keep the bloodline pure, but in this case, neither had the freedom to marry each other, as the king forbade it strongly. I never got the sense in Fire and Blood they loved each other, or rather, what their relationship actually was. It's not the fault of the book, as it is written has a in-world history, so the writing was more clinical, a re-telling of what happened through two unreliable sources. 10/10 I will sink with this ship. Fight me.

@@tamaratrikic For Rhaenrya, I think Daemon represented freedom when she was growing up, something she, as a girl, never truly had (at least not the kind of real freedom she craved), so she developed a crush on him. In a way, she wanted to be like him. Remember Daemon was the heir back then, and he did things not even other men, lords, etc., did, and got away with it not because of his sex, but because of his own personality and roguishness. Daemon, on the other hand, I can't say why he would have fallen in love with her, other than her physical looks and perhaps her unique personality?

She doesn't need a silver hair child. Her oldest son still be the heir anyway. You can be a Targaryen without silver hair. In fact, in the Book, some Targaryens are not silver hair. Especially when they mix with a Baratheon, they were ALWAYS with dark hair (the seed is strong with them Ask Cersei lol) In the show, all Targaryen and Velaryon has silver hair to help the people to understand who is who only. In fact, Rhaenys, the Queen who never was, had black hair with some silver mixed. And she was almost the Queen and considered Targaryen. I think Rhaenyra's mother wasn't silver hair too if I remenber. In the Book, the fact that both grandmother wasn't silver help Rhaenyra to justify a little why the 3 boys doesn't have silver hair with two parents who was 😅 Jon Snow AKA Aegon Targaryen didn't have silver hair too. Alicent just get lucky to have all hers children with silver hair.

In the book, it was fairly certain Rhaenyra is deeply in love with Daemon. One of the accounts even claimed Rhaenyra insists on marrying Daemon. Book Daemon looked more like moving for power. In the show, they made it as Daemon to be obsessive with her, as much as she is to him. Even attended her engagement that he never did in the book, making him kill his wife to marry Rhaenyra that he never did in the book, and making him sulky and depressed on his marriage with Laena when it was told they were happily married. They're setting Daemon & Rhaenyra up as this "I will do anything for you" trope and "I can sacrifice seeing you cuz I don't want to see you married to another man" trope. The set-ups are in there. Let's see if they will push this even more.

an OK wartime king perhaps, although he was shown to be fairly ineffective even against a weak opponent like the Crabfeeder. He would certainly be a poor peacetime king. He's really more of a soldier than a ruler.

I didn't thought it would work at first but your editing is flawless.

Genius of Martin's writing is that he convinced readers (and by proxy TV audience) that there is nothing wrong with incest. When you first read that Bran discovers affair between Lanister twins, you are shocked. When you first read that Targaryens inbreed with eachother you are shocked. Then Martin presents you with story upon story, of generations of incest relationships. Like nobody bats an eye when Danerys and Jon fuck eachother. Nobody bats an eye that Daemon and Rhaenyra fuck eachother. Instead audience goes with: "Awwww, isn't it sweat?". Martin is truly a genius.

To be fair, if it wasn't for biology and genetic I don't have a problem with incest at all. If both in the couple are aware and aged enough to give a complete consent 🤷 A adult with capacity of consent can do whatever he wants for me. The bigger problem is that is really not good for reproduction and you supposed to naturally be disgusted because it could make sick children physically and mentally. You can't put modern logic to a show based in a fantasy MEDIEVAL world. In that time period, people were marrying cousins and relatives left and right. Not saying it's a good thing but the whole thing honestly doesn't seem strange to me. To people of that era that knew nothing of modern science, it's common, and to them, there was nothing wrong bc they didn't know any better. And if the characters don't give a shit then the audience shouldn't as well.
