But he made me let my guard down, made me believe Daemon was a better man. He's not. He's still the Rogue Prince, his moral compass definitely does NOT point north, and outside of consensual and mutually agreed upon foreplay, a man truly in love would NEVER choke the person he loves.

Can't really fault Viserys for that. Daemon still at that time seemed hellbent for the throne, Viserys couldn't trust him, and Otto just hates him. Daemon did change a bit, a tad more mellow, especially with Laena, and protective of his family.

Daemon never really cared about any woman like he does for Rhaenyra. You can see how he lowkey touches her, how he looks at her (even when Rhaenyra was younger), he really loves her. Yeah, I thought abt that too. The courage, black-white way of thinking, untamed... They truly are the embodiment of dragons. They are very different from Westerosi ppl and they don't fit into this world, like the dragons don't.

I really like how they transitioned their relationship over the time gap. Because Daemon and Rheanyra start off as something very passionate and “blood of the dragon” and stuff and even though they already respect each other it’s very different from that mutual trust and comfort they exude in each other’s presence after the time jump. It really feels as though their relationship grew during that time and I particularly enjoyed that because it again sets them apart from Alicent and her personal unhappiness and her stagnant marriage that’s basically rooted solely in her sense of duty and desire for power.

I didn't even notice that little hand hold at the table in that scene, or the way he tries to get her attention to cheer her up. Good acting by both.

Daemon loves his family so much ahhh it makes my heart ache ❤

I think there are plenty of fanfics like that on AO3, I myself have been combing through the many works from the "Daemyra101" collection. You should check it out, there's around 900 fics in the collection so I'm sure you could find something suited to your tastes!

Everybody said they were super wrong for each other because they were both hot headed and passionate and would just drive each other crazy and do impulsive shit but sometimes you need a fire to estinguish another fire. The are one of the happiest couples I've seen in the ASOIAF universe probably compared to Cat and Ned Stark if not Oberyn Martell and Elaria Sand.

I don't care, I shipp them so hard, they were made for each other. She is her queen now, and even with the difficults Daemon will always be 100% team Rhaenyra, and that's what matters.

I know it's so wrong to ship them because you know... but knowing the Targaryen History, it's quite "valid"...and if the King did Daem's wish to have Rhae then there's no need for bloodshed but then those things are the things that supposed to happened so we can have more episodes to watch hahahahah Anyway, Daemon really is the best father for Rhae's children, he is so supportive, understanding, protective, love and loyalty to his family: Viserys and Rhae. He is seen in a really really bad light at times but all he did was what's best for them three but in his own ways. Without that many lines, his eyes and expressions speaks for him and I guess that's what I love about him despite the bad things that he cared solely for his family, that blood runs deep.

Yeah I can see your point and I can agree not excusing (the chocking part) I think Deamon was in a position where he just lost his brother, his daughter just died, his wife birthright been taking away and The Green trying to take power so he was frustrated and angry and didn’t want Rhaenyra to be weak like King V. He just place his anger in a wrong way, but I know Deamon loves his family.

Wrong that he choked her. I think he snapped when he saw Rhaenyra making the same fatal mistake as Viserys did with Otto Hightower. Remember when he told Viserys that Otto was plotting and no good. Daemon said “You’ve never once asked me to be your hand. I would protect you.” Daemon tried to warn Viserys who wouldn’t listen. Daemon was 💯 right about Otto and should’ve been his brother’s hand. Now the same scenario is playing out with Rhaenyra trusting when she shouldn’t be. She should’ve let Daemon end Otto on the bridge but she’s making the same fatal mistake as her father and once again Daemon is right. I think he finds himself so frustrated at not being listened to a second time when he’s right again and loses it when he chokes her. Very wrong and was heartbreaking to see him do that. I think he’s repressed his dragon within him for so many years that he imploded.
