I am so glad to see someone saying it. I was about to comment the same thing. I don't think its personal or on purpose. A lot of drummers don't get the credit they deserve. If you really don't have an ear for the genre or not too familiar with it, its very easy to put most of the focus on the vocals and lead guitar. Bass guitar, drums and keyboard rarely get their proper credit. lol Anne is phenomenal, but the band definitely isn't a simple a background band or being outshined either.

Ann is an absolute legend in the male dominated world of rock music. She and her sister have set the bar so high, in my opinion there's no other female rock singer out there that even comes close to her, there many females out there in rock but they can't hold a candle to her. She is highly respected in the business by tons of other bands and many of the female singers of today were inspired by her. She's also in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Barracuda is just one of many songs she's done. If you look on You Tube Heart performed in the late 70's in front of 300, 000 people at the California Jam.

She has a phenomenal timeless voice, but I am curious. What other singers do you know who rely on autotune, and can't actually sing? As a music fanatic, who listens to most genres from all time periods, there are a vast amount of amazing singers with a natural voice. Usually its some rappers and radio pop stars who use autotune. But I can name just as many current artists with phenomenal voices as I could during Annes time. No need to put down other forms of music in order to give credit to someone else. There are many forms of greatness, and Anne is merely one of them. Doesn't make her voice or impact any less. And if I am just oblivious, and there are these singers who I thought had an amazing voice but were actually using autotune. I'd love to know.

Heart was quite literally my very first favorite band. When I was a baby in the fall of 1984/winter of 1985 my mother would walk around the living room with me screaming, hoping that a Heart song would come on MTV, when it would, apparently, my head would spin to the TV and I'd just stare silently. Cassettes didn't work, from what I've been told, I would just get mad that I couldn't see them. So my father wound up buying a VCR just to tape their videos so I could watch them, apparently I wore out several recordings. Yeah, I was a huge, tiny, Heart fan.

Background to this song: The Wilson sisters revealed in various interviews that the song was about Heart's anger towards an ad Mushroom Records placed in trade publications implying that Ann and Nancy were lesbians having an affair. The song focuses on Ann's rage towards a promoter who came up to her after a concert in Detroit asking how her "lover" was. She initially thought he was talking about her then-boyfriend - band member Michael Fisher. After the promoter revealed he was talking about her sister Nancy Wilson, Ann became angry and went back to her hotel room to write the song. Nancy put suitably angry music to the words to complete the song comparing the sleazy side of music to a dangerous fish. Source:Songfacts

Both Ann and Nancy Wilson are amazing. I agree with all the other requests to watch their version of Stairway to Heaven. They played with Jason Bonham, who is the son of the late John Bohnam (the drummer of Led Zeppelin who passed away in 1980). I read that the members of Led Zeppelin watching the performance did not know in advance that Jason would be playing, so it was quite emotional.
