She Alleges Her Father Abused Her: 'I Was Extremely Brainwashed’

Ойын-сауық

Twenty-five-year-old Amanda says that from ages 10 to 25, she was molested over 795 times by her father, Earl Nix, a secret she says she was forced to keep for nearly a decade. She says since she finally revealed it to her family, they called her a pathological liar and refused to believe her, despite Earl being convicted of first degree criminal sexual conduct. Her mother, DeeDee, says Earl is a great man, but Amanda's grandmother says DeeDee is in denial and “brainwashed” by her convicted felon husband. The discussion gets emotional when the three women come face-to-face in an attempt get to the bottom of what happened between Amanda and Earl. (2214090)

I remember this episode. This was the absolute most heartbreaking, disgusting thing I've ever heard. My heart goes out to this poor girl. The worst part is her mother didn't believe her and still doesn't. STILL

Wow. She still doesn't believe her. That's sad & Earl should be in prison.

Years long grooming and manipulation absolutely caused this I have witnessed the exact same thing. Victim shaming at its best. Shame on those who are ignorant.

If my 11 tear old told me this, I would have investigated thoroughly, not just ask the abuser. This mom chose her own happiness over her daughter's. Too bad she wasn't sent to live with grandma. Shame on her family 😢

You need a therapist to tell you to go to the police, after this man told you he would do the same thing to your daughter??? Can't get to that conclusion by yourself??? 😮

I’m so so disappointed in her Mom’s reaction. The guy would be lucky if my Mom didn’t kill him, the LEAST this Mom could have done for her daughter is to have left right away

you could have just said you're an ignorant POS and don't understand the dynamics of sexual abuse and trauma. Or Stockholm syndrome. Because if you understood even 1/8th of what those things are, you wouldn't have said this ignorant mess
