About us
We're Ibrahim & Mohsin - ex-city lawyers and authors of "Halal Investing for Beginners". We've been studying investments and the traditional Islamic sciences for 13+ years. Over the year we've been published by the Financial Times, the World Economic Forum, Foreign Policy etc.
Today we run a sharia-compliant wealth management platform that manages over $35m in assets. We make videos about investment, personal finance, careers, and entrepreneurship.
We do this to make downtrodden communities better-off. To take people of colour, Muslims, and minorities from being among the poorest in society to the richest.

Huge point. Ppl talk about Hijra as if we get arrested for praying in the US. Before you flee the US, why not move close to a mosque in the US and be an active member of a physical community (not an online community).

I haven't watched the video yet. But hijrah is sunnah so it's nothing wrong with wanting to leave the US or a western country. The gun laws in the US are not safe at all. A Muslim woman was just stabbed in texas just recently, may Allah grant her Jannah.

@user-yf5je1dn1q You said the gun laws aren't safe and then said a woman was stabbed. That seems to indicate a knife law problem.

@@BruvahSulaimanare you being sarcastic? Have some empathy please. A Muslim sister was stabbed. There is also an ongoing gun violence issue. There is more than one issue with being in the USA. safety is not up to par

@@user-yf5je1dn1q If someone randomly decides to murder me, I literally won't lose anything. I already know death is unavoidable so the slim chance that someone will randomly kill me is not something I waste any time thinking about. Beyond that, the media manipulates ppl. I grew up in the inner city and I'm raising my daughter in the inner city. It's not that bad. When you adjust for accidental shootings, self harm, and self defense, the risk of being killed by gunfire is negligible unless you are a cop or a criminal. The dawah that I received before accepting Islam was from Muslims who chose to live and be active in the inner city. Had they stayed in a Muslim country or only lived in safe suburbs, who would've given dawah to me? If those who can afford to leave do so, then who will be here to adopt orphaned Muslim children? The poor Muslims who stay won't be able to afford it. It's one thing if a person fears that they are too weak to resist the temptations of all the sinful activities that are available here so they want to go somewhere where the immediate risk of committing certain sins is greater in order to keep themselves in check. It's another thing to ignore all the opportunities to do good here just to feel more comfortable somewhere else.

Salam. Don’t quite like that statements about children growing up in the western world, not losing their way. There is only natural for them to lose their way. Going to westernise schools you can say they go to madrasa also I’m learning Islam, but I promise you it’s not the same. No matter how hard you try. Your kids will always be westernised , you want them to grow up with ethics and morals and then maybe move back to the western world to be educated further in technology, science, money and all the other matters, but if you want ethics and morals, they can only get that from back home.

I live in a western country that is in the top 10 nations in favour of lbgt. Something that happens is some losing their way, yet others gain more Imaan than people in Makkah or Medina. Whites and Africans with more Islam than Arabs with blessed lineages. When your religion is like a coal to hold on to, only strength remains. Most Arabs still have strength, but all I see from their leaders, Islamic and government, is weakness We should move to the west, and it is they who should change not us. I agree that we need better governments, economies and militaries though. We must increase in Imaan at home, and yet still expand

@@user-yf5je1dn1q No, it is not. If anything it is Sunnah to expand the Ummah. Whoever started that innovation just wants to weaken us. I'm not going to move to Arab countries, when South East Asia, Turkey, South Africa, Ireland or Bangladesh do more for Palestine, Kosovo and the Rohingha. Most of the strong Muslims are out of Arab lands

I disagree that one can only establish Islamic morals by living in a country with majority muslim population. There's a lot of nuance for this matter as we cannot say every place in the west (or east) is the same. Some will undoubtedly be better than others. In the same way we see some communities in muslim lands that may fail to uphold Islamic principles, we see communities in non muslim lands that do uphold them.
