Brian it would be great if you sold some decks of cards that are autographed by everyone in attendance as like a drawing or something at next years Shaw Classic.

Big Fan Brian… Seen you at Texas Roadhouse in Brighton Colorado as you were leaving last night (Oct. 20, 2022), but didn’t want to bother you. I was sitting with my wife and 2 sets of twins girls. I actually went to the same High School as you (Fort Lupton High School) you’ve done our small town proud, I’m a disabled Combat Veteran who loves to lift.

Novikov combines the explosiveness of Kieliszkowsk with shorter levers. Just insane in terms of completion for certain events. Really great to see the big fella (Big B) taking care of business too :)

Nothing motivates me more than watching Brian Shaw get into an uncomfortable zone like Arm Wrestling. What an absolute legend.

Alternating hands each time seems like the best idea. Keeps both arms equally strong while you train.

Never going to happen at that weight though trying to get the same technique/pattern lift on your none dominant arm is ridiculously hard that I don’t anyone has ever mastered. To put in perspective my best circus dumbbell on my right arm is 85kg for 2 reps but on my left arm it’s 50kg for 1 rep.

the way novikov doesn't have to use his tricep to lockout is why hes so darn good at this, just doesnt get fatigued

Awesome show Brian, and it's great that you got Todd Harris of WSM commentating fame!

I can pick up a 150 pound dumbbell. It's all I can do to pick it up and put it down safely. I can do dumbbell presses with up to 120 pound dumbbells. This gives me a real sense of appreciation and respect for the incredible strength it takes to be able to handle a 240 pound dumbell. It's an insane level of strength.

I tried a 35kg Dumbell on my shoulder and I couldn't move it past 2 inches. Yet these guys are putting 110kg Dumbell up. Wow

I wanna see a bonus round where they are given a few random implements and a time limit and they have to do damage to a car. And the judges score them. Winner gets a new car or one of the damaged ones, doesn't matter which

Great competition 👍💪👍. Too bad we have non-lifting commentators who don't lift and have no clue of how it affects our bodies. This guy thinks every time you lift a weight, you're hurting yourself.

@@therustynut1081 exactly if he was forced to use the same form as the others he would have worse form. His success at lower body weight comes from his mastery of form. He gets everything out of his body that he can and I don’t think that makes him a worse athlete because he doesn’t try the biby approach

@@ciarantaylor-kitching3142 I'm not saying force him to use "worse" form, I'm saying that I feel his variance from the established proper techniques are partly to blame for his success in lifting these weights while maintaining a lower body weight. To be fair though its the judges job to recognize if an athlete is going outside the bounds (think those double dipping) so the fact that they haven't docked him means they find it ok.

The strongman announcer doesn't hold the mike up to his mouth. Cardinal sin in broadcasting. He can be hard to hear. Yet, his fellow announcer, the pro, says nothing, nor does the production team. C'mon dudes, step it up.

Natty. Considering all these men are genetic freaks to begin with, and us average dudes can't come near this level of raw power, I don't think we have much business trying to trash any of them. Natty or not they could all bench press us one handed while stealing our girl with the other.
