This is one of those films that you can watch 20 times and catch some small significant detail each time.

Diane actually survived after she ran out of the pub, by climbing a tree and staying up there for days, surviving by eating David's severed leg. She remained in touch with Shaun and Liz after the crisis was over.

oh my god, I never noticed (just before you mention foreshadowing regarding "next time I see you, you're dead") - the boring housemate says "you want to live like an animal, go live in the shed" to Nick Frost's character. Secret foreshadowing hiding behind explicit foreshadowing!

Stands up to researching. You can see this 100 times and spot something new each time. One of the most famous examples is how eds monologue to Shaun in the pub after the break up foreshadows the rest of the film. 'Bloody mary' (the zombie in the garden was called mary) 'stagger back to the bar' (they staggered as fake zombies) shotsat the bar (literal gunshots) etc.

Yvonne (The Bizarro squad leader) is played by Jessica Hynes and is actually a bit of a cameo for fans in the know. She and Simon Pegg were the 2 leads in a fantastic little nerdy series called Spaced, where they spend basically the entire thing pretending to be a couple; it's also directed by Edgar Wright and also has Nick Frost as one of the side characters; it's super fun and you can see early glimpses of the style Edgar Wright eventually perfected through the Cornetto trilogy. Definitely worth a watch, but if you were curious why Shaun and Yvonne seemed to have a bit of a love thing going on, it's partly a throwback to thier characters on Spaced.

There was scene in the Doctor Who episode, Army of Ghosts that seemed to pay homage to that final tv show segment. In Army of Ghosts, they show a montage of tv shows and people living with ghosts.

Edgar Wright is a great director. The first 'act' basically shows how everyone, including all the extras, are just going through the motions in life, like zombies. And you won't believe what happens next..... 😮

Ah man, I love this movie! Edgar Wright is a phenomenal director and writer. This is actually the debut of the "cornetto trilogy"; this movie, then Hot Fuzz, then The World's End. Fun story about the extras in this movie; every single one of them is a fan of the show Spaced, a TV show with the same director and many of the same actors in this movie. On a message board for the show, Wright and Pegg asked people to come out and be zombies for this movie, and due to the legal requirement for them to be paid, were each given a whole pound. Yep, every extra was paid £1. Loved your reaction! I don't agree with the bit about it slowing down towards the end. I think you do need to care about the characters, and you can't just kill off every main character without addressing the implications of it seriously. But overall, I'm glad you saw how brilliant the writing is! Easily one of the best zombie movies ever made.

Daaaaang. Respect for the Trailblazer jersey, Dame-time and all that. I'm from and in Portland, grew up on the 'Jail-Blazers' and even had an aunt that dated Zach Randolph when he was on the squad. He was smuggling pounds of smoke on the team plane for sell and even making fake licensce plates with some "unsavory" folk

@@AdamfromFWCI that is hilarious! I heard a few months, and again weeks ago that Heat is most likely his next spot if the money is right. He was shopping around teams a couple months ago. Nurkic can go anywhere, good on him for what he did for the city. Dame was really something else, but just like most young talent, there just is no hope in Portland. CJ is also right up there for 'no ring-no glory'

Been some advancements since then. Dame wants Miami..... and thats it lol. He's kind of screwed the team by saying it too, they cant use any other teams for trade leverage since Dame said he only wants to go to one place. So either the Blazers now trade him against his wishes, or take some BS deal from Miami to keep him happy. Its a mess, I'm loving it lol

An absolute classic of comedy/horror. Working through their issues while there happens to be a zombie outbreak in London. I remember seeing this in the theater when you could spend money on a movie and have no idea what it's about. I was blown away by how fun it was. I think they conserved their budget pretty well. Nowadays digital effects has made everything look awful and cheap.

I’ve always thought of this as the weakest of the “Cornetto Trilogy” but it’s still great fun and lays the foundation for them. Hope you react to “The World’s End” at some point as it wraps things up nicely and is great fun also. Also “What We Do In The Shadows” has an incredible TV series now that just finished its 5th season. It is unbelievably funny. I think you might fall in love with Laszlo from it lol
