Holy paladin has the best class Identity and the worst feel to play. It's insane how much more work you need to do just to keep up.

Shadowlands paladin was super fun. Season 2 hold paladin was fun as well

I feel validated now after firing up my hpal last weekend. My first thought was this just doesn't make any sense or flow at all. Now here we are.

In the back of my mind there is a thought that wants to make me play resto druid because it just feels so good to play right now. But I won’t abandon the light. Be strong brothers

They should really take a note from Warrior Priest from Warhammer Online. They healed by doing melee damage and instead of mana they had Righteous Fury that they would recover by fighting or literally PRAYING kind of like Evocation.

I liked listening to your take of hpal. I played most of my keys last week (tyran) as hpal, and while I did not feel underpowered - I did a 13 just fine- it did not feel super fun to play. I also do not understand why on earth blizzard went away from the melee hammer wielding playstyle that everyone said was super fun and changed it. Why change what ain't broke... But yea. As you mentioned I do run with my guild group, and I can coordinate their personals to fit what I need. As of right now, I barely use any of my holy power, because it just doesn't do any meaningful amount of hps. In raid I played disc priest last tier, which is arguably a much harder class and got absurd hps numbers. Now with this much simpler class I have to play so much more methodical to get healing without going oom xD

Been playing since the burning crusade, but never played a paladin, so that was my goal last year. I love to heal so I focused on healing and I have to agree with everything you've said here, especially about making the cooldown cake. I have to work twice as hard on my holy paladin than my resto shaman (was my main for many years) just to keep everyone up. It takes the fun out of healing. Taking a wow break for a few months so hopefully things will get better with the next expansion.

It makes me sad to see you so down on the Holy specialization right now. You are better and accomplished more than 99% of those playing Holy Paladins. There is a time and a season for all things. Holy Paladins do need some loving from Blizzard. There will be a time when they we be on top and be the Meta once again. In all of your videos I have watched, I don’t recall you ever spending any considerable amount of time talking about Protection Paladins. Since you now have enjoyed the experience of PvE, have you considered Protection for PvE, and Holy for PvP? You are a much better player than I am, and it would be great to see what you could do as a Protection Paladin. I really enjoy tanking pugs on my Paladin. I think you would to. I still believe in you our Paladin Godfather!

Mana cost of Word of Glory is disgusting. I spend 3 holy power for it.... Isn't it enough?

I pretty much only play druid these days, but these videos kick ass. Hail to the light Paladins, the leaves and twigs and birds and bugs and fatass chicken-lords approve.

Divine Toll pumped in SL and was fun to press. Hits like a wet noodle now in pvp lol

Ya i stopped playing mine. Endless nerfs the last few years. H pally should be the most durable healer. Give us wings on a 1 min cd like ret; also buff wings lol… it’s a neutered version of it’s former self. Make Light of Dawn a 360 degree aoe heal. That would be more viable in pvp (bgs & epics). Also.. to my wishlist… make Denounce instant cast :)

3 holy priests and a holy paladin walk into a raid..... me hpal til I die! .... why aren't you hitting 100k ahhh gfy hehehehe 😂 Cata didn't have the range restriction for mastery. Maybe that would help out a bit.

I ll try to play prot pally in War Within , instead of never playing again my hpal :(

They just need to tune the kit better. Holy shock should move health bars. Word of glory should move health bars. If flash crits, it should move health bars. Playing a shaman or holy priest is night and day compared to paladin. On those classes, my heals can top someone routinely in one cast. On my paladin, I’m not even joking when I say that a word of glory heals less than 10% of someone’s HP. Lastly, get rid of F--- glimmer. Who decided glimmer should be the core identity of holy paladin? It should have just stayed an optional capstone. Making glimmer core and buffing its output clearly cost the entire kit effectiveness.

unfortunately hpal still sucks in beta. only an infused holy light pushes a health bar. Divine Toll,daybreak do nothing. They really should remove double beacon, make beacon of virtue baseline,tune down its mana cost and giga buff holy shock.

@@vanguelisk I’m still leveling mine on live so the scaling isn’t the same as max level but I’ve been able to keep everyone alive with beacon of virtue and I love that spell
