@@dreamysap Hitchens was something, and I would like to watch the Tharoor-Hitchens debate. Hitchens surprisingly turned into a right wing crackpot around the time of the second Iraq genocidal massacre ... I remember reading his columns and his resignation from The Nation magazine as a columnist with surprise.. no idea what happened to him... Watch his debate with Galloway.. who famously said Hitchens must the first case of a butterfly turning back into a slug (not ad verbatim)... something to that effect. Tharoor is usually superb at defending himself, but he doesn't get asked the really tough questions, I feel. The usual right wing nutcases who go ga ga over the likes of Vikram Sampath and Sai Deepak will gloat over how either of them demolished Tharoor.. and I would see nothing of that kind happening at all. And when I ask for facts and logic, I draw a blank...every time.

Delhi must be conciderd by central govt and Delhi govt. They should invest to plan a compleat metro rail. It shouldn't be as like in other states, a core engineering talent is required for detailed analysys of the land and plan the metro where people must prefer metro for 90% of travel. Travel is a necessity , where people can't be controlled by policies, instead should make the mechanisms which meet thire travel needs. Innvestment for this might be slightly higher but the problem is sivier. And the govt can benefits by a good return by a period of time.

Mr Tharoor, you mislead..you question the army's version of Balakot. Bad move..

Cosmile Dsouza the place matters. I suppose the place is beyond any patriarchal consideration. A lot of other sidelined social classes may also be there. Why not considering them? In fact, white upperclass women are more socially privileged than many of other social classes. What Mr. Pillai did was a typical upperclass liberal male's female 'patronisation'. Indeed it seemed so.
