Sharpening A Large Kitchen Knife With The KME Precision Sharpener

I want to thank everyone that has subscribed to my channel. I appreciate your patronage. I do my best to provide hi-quality video's to demonstrate the KME Precision Sharpener.
This is a tricky one. Not because the sharpening process is any different but because of the weight of the large knife. You have to figure out how to balance the knife while going through the sharpening process. I show you my technique in this video. The sharpening process is the same as my last video only I finished this sharpening process with a fine ceramic instead off the Black Arkansas. This is an eight inch knife so dead center is 4" and this is where you need to center the KME jaws. I use Hockey Tape to help the grip. The stones are XX-Coarse Diamond, X-Coarse Diamond, Coarse Diamond, Fine Diamond, X-Fine Diamond a Fine Ceramic. I finish by showing the power of the leather strop. The strop does two things. First it'll remove any trace of the wire edge or burr and second it does a final polish on the scratch pattern; achieving that razor edge. Also, a strop will bring a knife back to razor sharp after daily use as long as you haven't done any damage to the blade. Anyhow, we went from dull to shaving sharp in under 30 minutes. I hope this video helps you. As always, comments and suggestions are welcomed. Please Subscribe
