Doubt this'll ever get a response, but I ran into someone named Sharm Stormsong in Sastasha hard today. I only asked if it was a reference to the KZreadr, which they said yes, but I didn't ask anything else or comment on it. I doubt it was her, but it was still really cool nonetheless. ^.^

I tried to sing along and was crying the whole time. I didn’t realize that Endwalker STILL affects me after all these months after finishing it!
I kinda like how this song sounds. The original is proud, hopeful, and defiant. As if saying "We've faced so many hardships... But no matter what, we'll never give up!" While this is more defeated and desperate, like the characters have reached their lowest point, desperately clinging on to any shred of hope they have, no matter how small. It's as if it's saying "No...! We can't fall! Not here! We've come so far, we can't let it end here!"

@@sharmsong I agree, this feels like the "More Than Thruth" to Calloway's "Maker's Ruin" "We were just adventurers trying to make our way. An odd job here, a favour there- we never aspired to be Warrios of Light. But word of our deeds spread, and soon they were calling us heroes. They placed their hopes and dreams on our shoulders and bit us fight for all that was good and right. We fough and we fought, and we fought... until there was no one left to fight. We won... and now our world is being erased from existence. We did EVERYTHING right, everything that was asked of us, and still - STILL it came to this! You of all people should understand! We cannot - We WILL not falter. We brought our world to the brink of destruction, and now we must save it."

Yup I am sure many are to follow. Nice to know a good parody can introduce you to some good music.
Within its context, Answers was and always will be the most beautiful theme in video game history, let me explain : This cinematic and moreover this theme was realeased right before the shutdown of Final fantasy 14 1.0 , a Game over, quite literaly. This was my most memorable moment in a video games. All the players gathering together to harness the end of their world. Yup, your cover made me shed all those tears i get this day, thank you Sharm. Honestly, that's just the spirit of Final Fantasy as a franchise isn't it? It all started as a studio's last ditch effort, their Final Fantasy before shutting down and closing their doors. It's quite surreal that what happened with FFXIV is so similar a story to Square's legacy.

This song embodies the tragedy at the battle of Cartenau, Louisoix's sacrifice and Hydaelyn's failure to support the first warriors of light. Originally voiced by Susan Calloway. Out of all of the covers that I have heard over the years, yours has such body and quality to it, really brings out the tone of the piece.

this cover of Answers to me reflects Hime's final walk in Endwalker. she was alone and battered, which made her afraid. struggling to take each step forward. remembering her allies only made it harder. her soul literally torn apart. bearing her sins of the past and wondering if her future would come. she couldn't kid herself. she didn't know if she would return from that. she wondered if she would die helpless and unheard

I can't sing, but I have been through all of the events in that video. Lore is something I CAN tell. Five years before what is considered the 'present' in Eorzea, the land of Final Fantasy XIV, the world was a much different, and in a lot of ways more peaceful place. The Garlean Empire, while a looming shadow, was only that. Coerthas and Ishguard were green, and the war with the Dravanians far away, as the Steel and Stone Vigils held fast, and the hamlets of Falcon's Nest and Owl's Nest flourished. Fifteen years before this, after the Garleans conquered the nation of Ala Mihgo to Gridania's north, the Dravanians and the Garlean Empire had clashed over the skies of Mor Dhona, near Silvertear Falls, the place where legend said souls went to rejoin the Lifestream. The Great Wyrm Midgasormr rose from the lake, and did battle with the Garlean Dreadnought Agrius. Both came crashing down into the lake, and a massive explosion of aether and ceruleum forever scorched and twisted the once lush and beautiful land, rendering it the warped, harrowing landscape it remains to this day. The scorched ruin of the dreadnought, the charred corpse of the Great Wyrm still wrapped around it, remains to this day, known as the Keeper of the Lake. Stymied by this, and the danger of the beast tribes summoning their Gods, Primals such as Garuda, Ifrit or Titan, the Empire halted it's advance at Ala Mihgo. They feared the unknown powers of Eorzea, and saw its very existence as a threat to their power. While some, like Gaius van Baelsar, called to conquer the lands, and bring the savages and their magicks to heel, others proposed a more radical solution. Nael van Darnus, known as the White Raven, had come into possession of the knowledge that the red moon Dalamud was not a moon at all, but in fact a massive artifice created by the lost civilization of Allag. Created as a power satellite to empower the Crystal Tower, it had remained dormant in orbit for ten thousand years. Garlean ingenuity could barely hope to comprehend such a marvel, much less harness it's power properly. But what they COULD do is replicate the signal to command the moon to come crashing down. Unaware of this threat at first, the Eorzeans could only watch as the once tiny red dot in their sky started to swell, and grow. Meteor storms became commonplace, the skies became bright with auroras, and the aetheric balance of the land shifted, causing creatures to swell in size. The beast tribes, in fear, began to horde crystals to summon their capricious and greedy gods, and the land descended into chaos. From this chaos, Heroes emerged. The first to be known as 'Warriors of Light'. They helped the struggling, disjointed nations find purpose, and band together in the Grand Alliance, founding the Grand Companies which endure to this day, and raising forces to fend off what seemed like a Garlean invasion. Eventually they learned the truth, and of the Lunar Transmitter housed in Castrum Novum due to a tip from Gaius van Baelsar himself (Who wished Eorzea to survive so he might conquer it intact). Storming Castrum Novum, the heroes destroyed the transmitter. But by then it was too late. Dalamud had already begun it's slow fall to Eorzea, and the destruction of the transmitter had only delayed the inevitable. Darnus was now close enough to commune with Dalkamud directly, and with something that lurked within the red moon. The heroes took up arms, and in a fierce batgtle, ended Darnus' life, but the moon would not be stopped. However, the Scion Louisoix proposed a plan to the Alliance to utilize a primal summoning of their own to stop the moon, the most powerful ever attempted. To do so, it would have to be done in Mor Dhona, where the moon would impact. Specifically, the fields of Carteneau. Knowing this, Darnus' fanatical VIIth Legion set themselves to stop any attempts, even as the moon crashed down around them. They met the Three Grand Companies and the Warriors of Light in fierce combat, as Louisoix gathered the prayers of the three great nations, as well as the massive reserves of aether within the land of Mor Dhona itself to prepare a great spell to stop the moon. Unknown to all, save Darnus and perhaps Louisoix, Dalamud held a secret. It was a prison for perhaps the greatest Primal of all - Bahamut. Before it had even struck the surface, the moon was ripped apart from within, as the elder primal tore free, as full of rage and malice as he had been the day the Allagans sealed him away. Louisoix cast his spell, a tremendous sealing means to lock away the Primal. But the spell failed, Bahamut blasting his way free, and wreaking terrible vengeance upon the land, and upon the three great nations all at once. with his trump card spent, Louisoix used the last of his power to cast the forbidden magic Flow, a powerful but unpredictable teleportation magic that swept up the leaders of the three nations, the grand companies, and the Warriors of Light, and whisked them away as Bahamut prepared his final attack to obliterate the sage and all that remained. Those that reappeared had their memories of the event scattered and scrambled. Bahamut and Louisoix both disappeared afterwards. Somehow, the realm was spared, but no one knew how. And the Warriors of Light? They never reappeared, the fickleness of Flow casting them to be lost on the Sea of Aether. Even their visages were burned from the memories of those that knew them, their names lost, only the image of a silhouette before a great light, as if staring at someone with the sun at their back, remained. Five years later, in the present, Gaius van Baelsar seems set to get his wish, and conquer Eorzea. The three nations struggle to rebuild. The land is twisted and changed by the Calamity. Scarred and ruined in some places, frozen and lifeless in others, and yet strangely rejuvenated and restored in others. The dragons raise their heads in their bloody song of war, seeking to finally crush a much weakened Ishguard. And the beast tribes commit ever greater atrocities to further empower their gods in a vain hope of saving themselves from the coming storm. And into this chaos come footsteps. Strangers, yet familiar. Some who walked before, and some who walk after, to take up the mantle of 'Warrior of Light' once more. Carteneau is where their story ended, and where it began.

SPOILERS FOR ENDWALKER LVL87 OR SO. . . . . . So I got into FFXIV last year, and this year I finally completed Endwalker. I had heard this song a few times and kind of ignored it. But listening to it now, I just think of Venat and tear up. Sure, early on Hydaelyn was a distant, almost boring figure. But seeing how much she gave to prevent the end of everything, how much she had to suffer and allow everyone else on the planet to suffer so very very much... hoping against hope that Light and Love would prevail, and that all the sacrifices that *everyone* had made, but that *she had allowed*, would be worth it. That cutscene, of Venat stumbling on, hurting and alone and so very, very tired... but still determined to move forward. Guhhhhh it's so fucking good. Thank you, FFXIV, for leading us through ten years to this amazing culmination.

Wanted to explain this to you if your still wondering, basically the original FFXIV wasn't very good and had a lot of bugs so they redid it and its called ffxiv: a realm reborn. This cutscene is the hero's of light of the first ffxiv failing to protect the world and it ending, they go back into time to fix this and that is FFXIV: A realm reborn.

Noooo, oh no, that is so completely wrong lol. The short of it is Bahamut, as an eikon, was imprisoned in what they called the lesser moon Dalamud (which turns out to be a prison, not a moon, created by an an ancient civilization). As a caged eikon, Bahamut enthralled Nael down below, who became obsessed with calling down Dalamud through the Meteor Project. The Warrior of Light attempts to stop the Meteor Project at its roots, wins the fight, but wins it too late. Dalamud is called down, Bahamut breaks free, back-up plans all fail, and the Warriors of Light are warped to safety. If you played during 1.x, your character was warped 5 years into the future (NOT the past). If you started in 2.x+, your character just shows up 5 years after the Calamity, and he/she reminds people of the adventurers who fought to protect Eorzea and you're just named the Warrior of Light in their memory.
Thank You, Kaiser!!🥰

It was beautiful but it was kind of discordant. Lots of destruction and your voice doesn't change to reflect that

This is a HUGE song to sing, like most of their expac theme songs. They require a lot of energy and emotion. I always give it my all when singing.
I have to admit it - I prefer the original. You did a good job, but to me, the original singer simply did it better. Your voice does kind of hitch, or something, at the end of your tones. It's most notable in songs like this. Your voice kind of "goes up" a little bit, which kind of makes the tones sound false but not quite. I have no idea what that technique is called. It's a thing that sometimes can annoy me - so I simply had to finally say something; I would like your voice even more if you didn't do that. You don't do it all the time, and when you don't, your voice sounds a lot better - to me, that is.

Thanks for your feedback!
Is it a female thing, or do only publish other people's crap? I've tried real hard these many years with watching your videos. What do you offer?
