......but....there will never be anyone BUT the great Ms. Yvonne Elliman, who first sang this song for SNF. Her voice was different, and something I would recognize right away if she were singing something else!!!!

She is so damn beautiful with her hair longer, and her voice and eyes makes me shudder!

I love her new album! It's got a number of songs that I have had as faves for a long time. I don't think her album is intended to be a complete re-working of movie songs, it is more like her showing her appreciation for some of her favourite movie songs. This is why I think that they have similar arrangements to the originals. So yeah, I don't think it was ever intended to be a 'this is my version' album but more of a 'I love these songs' album. Yay for Sharleen! It's a great album.

@Asmeraldx .... Adam's version was so different. Slowed down to a ballad. Gorgeous. There's a version somewhere but I can't find it of Adam's and Sharleen's versions mixed and it's beautiful.

Agreed, Alanis Morissette ran out of talent after her second album and never found it again, whereas Sharleen has had it since the 80s.

Certainly closest to the original with the French horns....class.

I feel so much more eure ,,now thatI got back to writing ( Being that I am So oh!) content with loving being as complete as it can be at this distance and both'So glowing in to me!
