Shark NV680 / NV681 Nozzle Est- All Repair No Talk (ASMR)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We look at a pretty beat up Shark NV681 Rotator Powered Lift Away.
Today we are trying something a little bit different. The repair is just an estimate and there is no talking, just the bustle of the workshop. This vacuum was in bad shape with a torn hose, worn brushroll, cracked housing and more. Sound off down below if you love/hate this little ASMR experiment. Cheers!

Hey gang, don't worry, this is just an experiment! I'm playing around with different video form factors... because if you don't know you don't grow! Let me know how much you hate this down below 😜. We'll be back to our regular programing next week.

Well, The ASRM lovers will love this. I think it's not bad, but I kinda enjoy it when you talk. I'm kinda lonely and you make it seem like that we're friends, trying to repair a vacuum.

Interesting video! We've had an NV680, the UK version in the dark red/burgundy colour, for just over 5 years now. Thankfully no issues yet, but good to know these videos are out here in case anything ever does go wrong. I recently washed all the filters and cleaned the brushroll and head so it's performing like new again :)

It would be helpful to know if a philip screwdriver or a Torx driver is needed.

Hello, I' m trying to follow you here at home with same NV681 green. Needs a roller replacement. I have roller and new belt ready to go. But I can't get even one screw out. they are 5 star with a pin in the middle of the head. I've tried hexes all sizes & types of screw drivers. Are your screws you just took out like what I describe? Is the end of your screwdriver open?

Those are called security torx bits. You can get a set from amazon for rather cheap. Hope that helps!

What the hell did you do? You took it apart and put it back together. Hell, I did that because I didn’t have the parts yet.

Definitely different but offers less info about the repair. On other hand, you could post-sync dramatic/comic sound effects, rap / beatbox, dramatic symphony, etc. Am a little surprised how many Sharks end up on this channel - do they break a lot? Are they wildly popular?

Thanks for the feedback, Matt! So many Sharks end up on here for both the reasons you mentioned. There a SO many out there and because of that we see tons of them in for repair. It does make things a little Shark heavy on this channel, but keeping in line with their sales numbers they are some of my most viewed videos.

Hello...I have this same vacuum and it stopped working, light turns on but not the motor...what could it be ?

Hi there! Is it the suction motor that isn't turn on or the brushroll motor? Thanks!

If the brushroll is working but not the suction motor, you've got something serious going on. It would likely be either a bad position on the selectable switch, a bad circuit board, or a bad motor. Unfortunately, in any of those 3 cases a repair probably won't be in the cards due to parts availability and/or pricing.
