I am not an expert or a dive professional. I don't know all the hazards that exist for a particular dive. I create these videos for informational purposes only and you should not use them your sole source of information on this subject. Some of my information may be incorrect. Conditions can change from hour to hour and whats safe at the beginning of your dive may be hazardous when you finish. Talk to lifeguards, use other resources and most importantly, dive within your level of training and your skills/abilities. Just because a dive looks easy doesn't mean it is, or that its even safe. People have lost their lives diving here so make sure diving within your limits.

Big bat rays have jump scared me while lobster diving at night. No sharks yet, thankfully.
No, the diver hit the shark.

It was a crazy dive. My buddy thought we were messing with him until he turned and saw the shark swimming away.
Super sick video

I love seeing these guys in the water. They look so prehistoric!

@@SDScuba for real Lol looks like they spawned in the wrong time period 😂. Gotta be honest it's one of the few shark species that as a whole are quite curious about us they don't really mind our company at all
Nice, we have tried to see these guys but unlucky. Someday.

I haven't heard reports of them in the last month. They're more reliably around winter/ spring.
How deep is the water because me and my family are going snorkeling

For snorkeling it starts off at about 2-3 feet and wouldn't get much deeper than 20' assuming you aren't going that far out. I'm not sure what age your children are but also consider the Children's Pool for snorkeling. If you stay in really close to the shore it'll be mostly sand so you won't see much life....if you go out farther there's a lot of kelp and people don't usually like it because its dark but It's protected by a large wall so the water is usually calm...but not always. I like the children's pool because the beach is bigger so you can set up your chairs/umbrella in the sand....its still a pretty small beach but its larger than the Cove. Both can be nice areas to get in the water though. maybe read up on both.

7 gill shark I saw in La Jolla cove
I want to go shore diving there. Do they really bother you? I don’t think it is clear enough for me. I want to be able to see them to be aware. Lol
