Great review. I'm currently working through this one. The world building is amazing but I agree that the storytelling isn't necessarily the easiest. I hope you do more scifi reviews because that's definitely my niche
Cixin Liu "The three body problem" trilogy is one of the best and most terrifying sci-fi ever written. I dare you!!
Sounds like a great story! Great to see you excited about a book again!

Well hey now, I enjoyed it, but it didn't enrapture me. Still looking for that one!
I've had this book on my 'new releases' radar for a while and it sounds super interesting! That said, this review already felt overwhelming, so I can only imagine how it must be to read this chunker of a sci-fi novel. I am really glad to see you enjoyed it! Thanks for the great review :)
Just finished it. Wonderful book!
Just finished reading this book and have the next one lined up on my bedside table! Absolutely fantastic! It was my first delve into scyfi and I have to say I was hooked from beginning to end. I didn't actually realise there was a compendium at the back until I finished the book but it was easy enough after 300 pages or so to get a grip on who was who 😂 really reminiscent of other scyfi works I've watched and played through, namely the parallels between the traveller from destiny and the architects so I felt right at home. Lovely review of the book and great to see someone as excited as I was to read it ❤
Excited to check your review later. I just finished last week and am putting my notes together, can't wait to see if we got similar vibes

Looking forward to seeing your review!
Can't wait to hear about "the angel of punching you in the face!"
I liked the first 2/3 of Children of Time and I loved the final 1/3. I can't wait to read Shards of Earth! Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut references a semi-sapient organism called Harmoniums. I believe they're only in one chapter but it's one of my favourite chapters that I've ever read.
Read the prologue for this yesterday and you're not kidding about the scale, he sets it up right off the bat.
Ooooh have to revisit this.. Pushed my hold on this back to finish reading the Hyperion series but I cannot* (I guess I can) wait to get to it.

boy oh boy read it and the sequel now, Eyes of the Void - if the Expanse is the Disney version I feel like TFA could be the Nickelodeon side of the coin of a similar story lol
Sounds a lot like Mass Effect. Thanks for the review definitely going to check it out

I don't think you like space.
Tchaikovsky is a genius at creating great non-anthropomorphic aliens.
Got the book for free of course going to be good

I get most of my books for free and don’t love most of them!
You're so pretty it hurts.
