2004 Western Conference Finals Game 1, May 21, 2004 | The Timberwolves and Lakers were set for a second straight playoff matchup, with Minnesota having home court advantage again. The Wolves didn't want a repeat of the year prior where they lost their HCA in just the first game against the visiting Lakers, but the dynamic duo of Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant had other plans. As they took turns taking over different parts of the game, the two combined for 60 points, 21 rebounds & 11 assists. Just like in 2003, the Lakers once again immediately took HCA away from the TWolves in game one, winning 97-88.

2004 NBA WCF *Kobe Bryant* 24.3 - 4.0 - 5.5 - 1.5 - 0.3 on 41% *Latrell Sprewell* 20.8 - 4.0 - 5.0 - 1.5 - 0.0 on 41% basically equal. Kobe = more points because of more shots, same FG%
