Shannen Doherty Tears Up w/ '90210' Cast Over Standing Ovation Amid Cancer Battle

The "Beverly Hills, 90210" family is rallying around one of their own. Shannen Doherty appeared alongside her co-stars for a rare public reunion at 90s Con in Tampa on Sept. 17, where she received heartwarming support from not only the cast but also the crowd amid her Stage 4 cancer battle. Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green joined the audience in a standing ovation for Shannen, who has long been open about her health journey including the most recent news that her illness has spread to her brain. Attendees cheered for the actress, who wiped tears while sharing after the panel that she’s used to getting emotional these days. "Thank you so much. You guys know how much I love crying constantly. And I do, it seems. So, thank you," she said, adding that she thinks she’s doing “really great” while fighting for her life “every day.”

The reality is that she will not. It's stage 4 but I know she will keep fighting until the end and make the most of her time. People who are dying don't want other people to tell them they're not. It doesn't really make them feel better honestly

Oh she was terrible? Tell me what evil things she did to deserve dying from cancer? You think being a little bratty or wild warrants death? I'm sorry who's the terrible person here? Because I think it's the person who says some dumb ish like that. I'd hate to see what Karma has in store for you if this is what she apparently gets
Most of those people got Shannen fired off 90210 for being late, bad behavior.

I liked Shannen on 90210 the first 3 years, then she plucked her eyebrows thin, dyed her hair black and some other weird colors, got massive implants that were too big and low on her 5'2" body. She ruined the main character Brenda Walsh with her awful acting starting in Season 4. Shannen was a very heavy smoker from age 17-47. I wish she would admit that is why she got breast cancer. She should have known better also. Her Little House co-stars Michael Landon (pancreatic cancer) and Victor French (Mr. Edwards) (lung cancer), both died at age 54 from heavy smoking, so Shannen should have stopped after Landon died in 1991. Shannen will be lucky to make it to 54. Luke Perry also smoked, and died at 52 due to stroke and colon cancer polyps due to smoking. Jason Priestly used to smoke heavily and stopped years ago supposedly. Smoking causes lung cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, stomach, esophagus cancer. It stinks like sh , and is absolutely disgusting!!!! Shannen should speak out and tell people she got cancer from her own means.

Plenty of non smokers get cancer too and plenty of smokers never get cancer and live to 100. If people don't know enough that smoking can cause cancer that Shannen Doherty has to tell them that's a little silly

Are you a doctor? I got breast cancer and I'm a nonsmoker, don't drink alcohol or have the breast cancer gene. There are many things that cause cancer not just smoking.
Fun fact: Melissa Gilbert was her co-star (played her aunt) on LHTOP. They were 6-7 years apart in age. Melissa married a total loser drunk whom she knew a couple of weeks, after Rob Lowe dumped her for the 9th and final time in 1987. Melissa soon had marital trouble with this first husband, and asked him to move out to an apartment while they tried marriage counseling. Shannen just happened to live in the same apartment building around age 18, 19, 20. She slept with Melissa's husband who must have been 30! Melissa found out and wants to still smack her. You can read about it in her autobiography.

When Shannen Doherty ran into Melissa Gilbert at an awards ceremony, Shannen bragged to Melissa that she purposely went after her husband at the time. Shannen Doherty was absolutely horrible back then.
