Shanks knew what that fruit was and knew the moment Luffy ate it, he had to make sure Luffy could get to this stage in order for something big. That’s why he staked his arm on it. I wonder what else he knows

He has to know not only the real devil fruit power, but what the navy was plotting to ensure it never resurfaced again. Shanks is above even Dragon level knowledge I feel, aside from Buggy he's one of the last to have known what Roger discovered about the truth of the world. It has to be something beyond just the sun god fruit.

Its not about being at laugh tale, its not about being at the last island Shanks is the only other person who deals in more Navy intel than even Dragon. We know he wasn't at Laugh Tale, but while Buggy spent his time sulking, Shanks put together a crew designed to take the Sun God fruit, a crew that was meant to pick up where Roger left off, its not about "being" at the island. It's the fact that Shanks has been studying everything, we don't know who or if he even intended to give the Sun God fruit to anyone, but he's got plans, and unfortunately his crew is willing to kill for them.

Big respect to all seiyuus for their dedication and patience to stay to voice our beloved characters even though they had very little screen time.

I think Shanks knew it was fate that such a goofy power in nature best belonged in the hands of a boy with a ridiculous dream just like his Captain. So placed a bet with his arm that he would be the one to save the world and gave him a goal that only a person like JoyBoy could achieve. Knowing all this now, it’s no wonder why Shanks waited all this time to see Luffy: He was waiting to see Nika.

Oda has said that we'll know that One Piece is close to ending once Shanks starts appearing a lot more in the story. So I'm sure we'll get a lot of Shank's story towards the very end of the series. I know it's already reaching that though.

It was that CP0 member who somehow(I swear he has the durability of a Giant, lmao) suribed Kaido's attacks. He took a last minute snap of luffy sent it to Morgan(prob, cuz he publishes it), then probably died.

Yassop be like: "WAIT SHANKS I FORGOT TO PUT THE MILK ON THE SHIP! IM NOT READY!"

The summit for them I think will be them coming together and throwing down for a Davy Back fight, and whoever loses will stand behind the winner as the one who gets the one piece. @@FrostReave Yes you're right. I think Shanks will use Luffy for his own or Roger's purposes. Even if this goal is good or bad, they are gonna fight i guess. Its not normal for Shanks to go after One Piece as soon as he finds out that Luffy is Joyboy. Oda sensei has started writing betrayal roles for many characters, especially lately arcs. So everything seems possible because its One Piece 😎👍

Shanks looks like a proud papa to me. Not that I blame him, Monkey D Luffy is his greatest success.

When I first started watching one piece back in 2009 in Cartoon Network things were very different. It only used to come on Sundays and I guess I remember watching it upto ussop village part. I had never in my mind thought Shanks was such a great pirate in terms of power. I thought he was just an ordinary pirate and puffy would outgrow him soon. 😂 This is wild and I love how Manga is going in egg head island
