This is my first time watching it and it was just meh, I know nothing about attack on titan tho I’ve tried to get into it multiple times but just can’t for some reason, it’s cool a show with such an abstract strange concept was made into such a long story as usually story’s this unique just are short story’s or at most mini series, didn’t you guys have to wait a super long time for the last season for some reason or something?? Sorry I’m rambling but if you don’t mind me asking what makes you love this show so much? I’d like to like it bc I really need a new show but I’ve watched the first like 5 episode like 3 times and it just feels like I’m putting in work while watching it lol

The wall was not built to keep titans out, rather, it was built to keep in the mass of anger that is Levi.

Without a doubt, the Scout Soldiers were the true heroes of that scene. Their unwavering bravery in charging forward despite certain death always moves me to tears. Although I recognize Captain Levi's impressive abilities, it is the unwavering courage of the Scout Soldiers that captivates me.

@@migs192 No, it wouldn't have happened for two reasons. 1. The Eldians would have been galvanized against the rest of the world, traditional war is something that can be fought with traditional means. 2. Aron wouldn't have had access to the inner-world or been cornered into making that decision. Remember, Zeke was genocidal against the Eldians, absolutely influenced other people into that direction, and was treated as a trump card for those that felt that way. Without that trump card certain actors wouldn't be so bold. Just human nature.

And his confusion of why he's thinking about Hitch, not realizing he has feelings for her (and her him for that matter as she didn't want him to be a scout and die), is the cherry on top. I really enjoyed their side arc.

The fact that they warned him, they knew what Levi was capable of

The sheer catharsis of Levi carving him a new one after all he did....even if he got away. Watching that smug look on his face disappear was worth it.

Damn it’s been years since I’ve seen this episode and seeing Marlowe thinking about Hitch right before he gets killed hits way harder then I remembered.

I'm calling it like I see it, it seemed that he butchered the first hand to reduce the def/off power, and went for the eyes and legs once Zeke threw his remaining hand up to protect his neck...which Levi knew he was going to do once Levi went for the neck. Your explanation holds as much as mine.

Might be one of the greatest scenes of all time..

Coming across this for the first time in manga back before this season was even animated was such a JAW DROPPING feeling. The way Beast titan had been introduced in the series- with him seeming to be a Grisha look alike, taking out that 2nd best Scout after Levi with ease, being able to control the titans- Beast Titan seemed to be extremely OP There was a legitimate intimidation factor to him which was somewhat diluted in the anime. So when Levi owned his ass, it was just unbelievable. That manga scribble of Levi cutting Zeke out of the nape was just mind blowing on unmatched levels.

The first time I saw this scene i enjoyed it to the max

No matter how many times I watch this episode I still get chills.

One of the best scenes in anime.

Levi's Berserker Barrage like Wolverine! The Beast Titan is just like a giant chunk of Titan meat to be chop off. One of the best fights in AOT!

Them : "Make Sure To Watch Out for Levi". Zeke : "Why Should I?" Them : "Cause He's Him."

After getting kicked twice all the Beast Titan can do is passively grow a pimple on his nape

In this moment, Zeke's main character facade was shattered. In this moment, he thought he might die, and his dream of the euthanasia plan would come to nothing right then and there.

They warned him to never let Levi cook and he let him go full Chef Ramsay.

This is one of the scenes that had me jump out of my seat for joy lol. Watching all of the fledgling soldiers die, Erwin’s speech and final words. Chefs kiss.

I love how this fight got straight to the point.

It's a tradition to visit this scene every now and then.

If you feel sad for zeke from the later seasons just watch this again

I love the "I made a promise" thing, because it comes together in the end. Levi has some of the best character writing, I think, in this show. Though it probably helps that he gets so much attention in OVAs as well.

This score and the music add so much emotion and tension to this scene. You can feel the desperation of the scouts’ charge and the faith placed in Levi. The plan had to work. Levi had to kill the beast to ensure his comrades didn't die in vain

Can we just appreciate the restraint Levi showed in Marley, after going through all this, of the choice in Midnight Sun he was forced to make, in not killing Zeke? How many of us would have been 'screw orders this MF is gonna pay.'

Zeke's voice acting was goated in this scene.

Hands down absolute best moment in anime.

This was the most intense, emotional, brutal, epic & amazing moment if the whole season. This was when Attack on Titan became my top 5 favorite animes.

I legit just watched this episode for the first time today, and HOLY SHIT MAN. Never been an anime fan, but Attack on Titan is easily a top five show of all time for me now.

One thing to learn about the scene is never get comfortable even if everything is in place

Its crazy how aot made me care for a random soldier 2 seconds before he died just from an inner monologue

Why is everyone one mad when Eren just trying to return the suffering of his people to those who gave it to them in the first place? If you are free to love anyone and anything, you are also free to hate anyone and anything.
