oh yeah, I always felt not a lot of people talked about an aspect that made the water 7 fight hit even harder, it wasn't just a falling out/fight between crewmates/friends it was a falling out between luffy and basically his best friend. prior to water 7 luffy and usopp were always playing around and having fun (making snowmans, going and exploring the island, joking, and just in general having fun together) essentially speaking, they were best friends. they were also the only crewmates at this point whose dreams boiled down to just be a pirate (pirate king and brave warrior of the sea both basically mean be a pirate) the rest of the crew had different objectives but go about it through piracy but these two just want to be a pirate from the start. these two were basically the best of friends and that fact makes the water 7 fight 100x more emotional

Usopp has really changed a lot from this scene to Enise Lobby. Cuz I think he's gotten a little bit stronger than before they entered the Grand Line. A side from Usopp's habit of lying, he's got his new weapon Kabuto, and I think he's gotten a little more brave.

It's great to see Usopp's development and realizing that he always had what it it took to be a great pirate. All he needs is time and confidence in himself. I really got into One Piece because it's got the most genuine laughs out of me more than any other anime. There's something special about that, in a sea of unfunny and corny anime One Piece somehow gets slapstick comedy and action down perfectly

The moment Luffy said those words to Usopp, it wasn't to intimidate him, but teaching him the importance of his actions because if he did do that to Luffy, there's no going back. We've seen this again during their adventure and Usopp wanting to leave the crew and later realized that it wasn't Luffy's fault why he had to destroy Going Merry, but his decision as a Captain in order to advance to the New World. Really speaks volume when the current Usopp is almost the same level as his dad only having to master his Observation Haki while still using a Slingshot which is an impressive feat

yup. Zoro uses Haki pretty often actually early on. It gets less in the middle of the series probably because Oda figured out how he wants to write Haki and needed Zoro to step down a little bit. Also just proofs for me that Zoro was the strongest member of the strawhats until luffy got gear 4. If i imagine an actual battle to the death between those two i cant see luffy win without gear 4. little fun fact. seems like nami has and used conquerors haki hundreds of time. Mainly everytime she hit luffy on the head.

Well in the manga we have a chapter where Jinbe gasps and is shocked to see Nami hit luffy and says"is that conquerors haki?!?! ". It also makes sense for every OG straw hat atleast to have cq haki given their goals and ambitions. Next ones gonna be ussop on elbaf :)

he already did that, he was beaten up to almost death multiple times, managed to defeat the user of the most powerful DF in One Piece's universe, have an absolutely GIGANTIC observation haki that just have to be trained up, have a bounty of 500 million, which is (if i recall correctly) a bounty higher than any previous shichibukai (prior to becoming a shichibukai) he is already a legend

The fact that Yasopp left his family, but had such an apparent love for his son, it makes me wonder if there was more to why he left. Maybe it was the adventure thing, but he didn't just get a random impulse - he was specifically scouted and recruited by Shanks. As impressive as his rep may have been, getting a rep from within East Blue can't have been that impressive in and of itself. I think there is a lot we don't know about Yasopp, and while he may relish the adventure, there is likely something significant and relevant to his son that drove him to take to the seas - either that, or he really is just a deadbeat lol.

Also he never knew excatly why his father left him and his mother alone while take a good care for Luffy. That's enough for Usopp to go for a fight with his father for the answer. I guess in the pass, his mother murdered Celestial Dragons for wanting to kidnapp her loke Ginny. However, Yasopp fabricate the evidences to framed himself for that crime and go on exile to prevent Syrup village received Buster call. He cannot returned to his family because he believed that both Usopp and his mother are on watch but World Government due to their suspicious about Yasopp's real reason to commit a murder.
