I've noticed something since i have rewatched fishman island arc. The effects of the energy steroid that hordy and his officers were using were somewhat similar to what happens to luffy when in gear 5. After taking the drug, their bodies get modified (reminds me of the scene where luffy uses muscle in gear 5 looking like popeye). And after taking more of the drug, they seem to look closer to nika as their eyes turn red and hair turn white. The side effect of the drug resulted in them growing old (lifespans reduced maybe?) similar to how luffy turns to an old man when he is at his limit after using gear 5. The drug was also considered a national treasure as Neptune has stated, and as Vegapunk also states the ancient kingdom is far more advanced than the present time. I wonder if soemone attempted nika's abilities in the form of a drug somewhere in the past.

My only thing is by now Luffy should be able to take on Admirals even without using Gear 5 or any Gears for that matter. His Haki has developed a lot in the story after Wano. Him taking Kizaru out of commission but being exhausted because of G5 doesn’t even make any sense narratively since he must’ve been fighting Kaido for much longer in G5 during their last fight. Oda should just make it so Luffy switches from base form to G5/G4 only when needed. I think it would be cooler that way at least and show how he’s not dependent on his DF as much.

I see it like this, G5 + Conquerors coating is what puts Luffy at an Emperor lvl, and an Admiral are at the very least at Yonko Commander lvl or something in between the latter and an Emperor. So Luffy definitely needs to be in G5 to knock down somebody of that caliber since we know from Yamato, Zoro, Kidd, Law, pre G5 Luffy and also when Queen knocked Big Mom unconscious, that once you're at that lvl, you can still hold your own against an Emperor even if you're not strong enough to defeat them.

The funny thing is some people still say kizaru is stronger than kaido and gear 5

This isn't the luffy like against Kaido. But anyway. Kizaru is out, and Luffy and Kizaru will get back to power soon. But when they do, I am guessing a new power steps in. It's going to be Dragon, or someone strong enough to take on either Kizaru or Saturn. Maybe after Luffy is in problems because he doesnt know Saturns powers yet. Or for some other reason

Been waiting for the Gorusei to take action since Laffitte interupted one of their meetings years ago.

I like to believe that Gorosei are the ancient devils that separate themselves from zoan devil fruit and took human form. Like mentioned in this video, Saturn doesn't see himself as equal as human. Plus the Gorosei also know for certain that zoan fruits have their own wills, wouldn't it possible if they're the wills themselves.

I think Blackbeard arrives after the fight has settled down. He reaps benefit like the leftover invention of vegapunk. Maybe even the ancient giant robot itself. Remember he has been fighting law in an entirely different direction and anyone in his crew that could take on luffy's is either with him or at his Island. One more thing to note is that the panel shows only Blackbeard's ship/vessel not the marines or the mechanical sea Beasts as opposed to now where the entire island is surrounded with some even chasing after those who are escaping. That part indicates that Blackbeard arrives after everything has settled down either to scout out opportunities or bad luck in being late just like during the skypea arc where he was late to catch luffy who was already on the knockup stream. I think Oda is paralleling that and other arcs.

Curious if Bonny will be the Ultimate support character for Luffy, when he goes old post Gear 5, she can reverse age him and get him back in the fight. Maybe even work with the Straw Hats for a While to avenge her father and work with Nika

That would almost make sense. If anyone had a chance of finding One Piece, it’d be one of the people that helped Roger hide it n the first place. That’s not to say Shanks, Buggy, or even Rayleigh knew where it was, but they all knew Roger better than anyone, and Shanks is the only one with genuine drive to pursue the treasure. Heck, it’s just as likely Roger gave to him in the first place with one set of instructions, “Find my successor.” I don’t think Luffy was intended, hence why Shanks tried to make Luffy throw it up in the first place, but after Luffy did eat it he encouraged him to give it all he had to pursue his dream. This could all be Roger’s dying wish realized.

Every fighter knows the best fight to be in is the one you can run away from. So in a way Kizaru still has to best defense by having the highest speed.

Dragon was 17 at Rogers execution. Which means he could've been younger during God Valley.

I think joy boy is a buccaneer and also possessed the sun god nika fruit and also inherited his will therefore the tradition of sun god nika was passed down as a tradition in the buccaneer race and that’s why kuma is connected to luffy and is heading to egghead because he probably heard the beat of nika’s heart and that triggered his last bit of humanity left.

But it turned out that he was his uncle and pinzorro turned out to be his dad. And garling did not own white beard he is flat out a stone cold killer. If heowned white beard en whitebeard would be death rïght then and there. Whitey only got a scar from garling he told shanks that when they met.

one thing is confirmed that attack luffy used was coated in conqueror so thats why kizaru is down and he cant use it since
