actually, the storm logia was the very very first thing that came to my mind when i first saw the dragon scene in loguetown some 15 years ago. And I was sure for a long time, that it was even confirmed, until a good friend of mine ask me about my opinion to dragons fruit and i was like "dude, its the storm fruit, did you whatched it?" And he was like, "oh no its a very debated question and far from beeing confirmed!"

While you explained the wind powers i started to think "hmm.. maybe he has not just wind, but storm, because he isn't connected to a light wind but to a changing storm (the wind of change is a storm). And then you said it. Good job in structuring that I got the same idea like you before you told it but not before I saw your video!

Storms are caused by the wind. Any power a storm fruit could do could also be done simply by controlling the wind.

We all saw that giant straw hat which belongs to joyboy of course… which makes the joyboy to be from giant tribe of Elbaf ((( maybe that’s what roger told shank about which made him smile to go to elbaf and wait there… otherwise why would shanks protect elbaf and more importantly giants can protect themselves why do they need protection from shanks unless shanks told them something only giants knew about which made them trust shanks…. Tbf green hues to storms happens a bunch in the real world so it in itself doesn't really mean much. And I don't recall the manga setting up any context to suggest Dragon was around, could be wrong though

Although it’s essentially the same thing, I’ve always thought Dragon would have something akin to a Pressure Pressure Fruit. Wind and lightning are of course both caused by the changing and / or the building of and releasing of atmospheric pressure but it would also make thematic sense. Dragon is actively pressuring the World Government with the RA and is pushing the winds of change to all corners of the world. And on the type of fruit: I agree a new Mythical Zoan or Elemental Logia would be cool to see, but I kind of want it to just be a regular Paramecia. We have seen too many extremely overpowered rare Devil Fruits lately and I really want to see Paramecias get the spotlight again!

I remember in One Piece Gigant Battle on the ds, Dragon's assist created strong gusts of wind that pushed players off the stage. I don't know how valid this is, but if we add the thunder thing, honestly a storm fruit is the only explanation lol

The same thing with shanks, if they put certain powers to a character that has not displayed any abbilities we can be certain that those in game are similar to his powers in manga/anime. Something related to storms and wimds is for sure.

Ever since I watched Loguetown in the anime i have been convinced Dragon has had a logia Storm Storm fruit or Arashi Arashi no Mi and it would make sense for him to have a logia if him and Akainu are supposed to parallel in some way. I also think this would be the strongest Logia as Dragon could create storms; manipulate ocean currents;create whirmpools and lightning abilities in it's base form alone

Personally I’m on the boat it’s a logia type storm fruit… he clearly displays not only wind but other weather capabilities (wind, lightning, rain and 85% of scenes dragon is in its clear as day sunny) not to mention how it would benefit Allies and hinder enemy travel plus if you’re going to talk about freaking akainus rival someone who could produce hurricanes, mass lightning storms, storm surges and giant hail would definitely be on par with a volcano man like akainu

Huh. Maybe the phenomena that destroyed Lulusia was actually what Dragon's capable of. I'm thinking the world government got to experiment on Dragon, too, which pushed him to go rogue. The skies turning black, storm forming and the rest kind of remind me of what happened in Loguetown when Dragon spawned. And because the power is so strong, they cannot just have it on some pacifista (like Kaido's power, which they also got to experiment on, but only got to creating a "failed" fruit clone).

My head canon until proven wrong is Dragon has the “Cloud Cloud” fruit. It could be everything from the wind wind and storm storm, but also includes the weird One Piece stuff like ISLAND CLOUDS!! further connecting it your Shandora theme!

In the beginning of the video you announce that you will bring a completely new view of Dragon and then you spend 30 minutes talking about how Dragon most likely have a Storm fruit - which has been speculated for more than two decades... Very nicely put together video, especially if one has never put any thought into this before, but let's be honest, these thoughts have been around for a long time. 😅

I think his fruit is the mythical rain god mentioned in Skypiea. But I don't think that it is a human based God. In one of the episodes of the anime he has the title of emerald serpent. So it could be another dragon like Shenron mentioned in the video.

Dragons ship looks like he coated the entire thing in haki. Like a black blade but with a ship.

Since his Loguetown appearance, i have thought that Dragon has a paramecia devi fruit that allows him to control the weather, and every hint in one piece has only enforced that belief. But this video has made me think that maybe it could be just wind control (maybe a logia but not necessarily) and he has such refined control of his power (that has become a great idea in one piece since Luffy's gear 2, utilizing your devil fruit power to his max being creative and having great control) that he can make clouds change to create rain and even lightning (like Nami can with her baton by creating masses of air with different temperatures). Luffy was saved by lightning in Loguetown but he was in one of the highest spots in the plazza with Buggy who was holding a metal sword, if Dragon could make a lightning bolt above the plazza, the lightning would naturally strike Buggy's sword wihtout needeing guidence. I like the idea of Dragon not having a very strong devil fruit in peoples eyes, but him making his power be very powerful (although controlling wind would not be a week power). So i hope that his devil fruit is only a paramecia that allwos him to control air

I think you're right about his fruit being a logia. But I think the catch is that the man himself is weak. A no haki king. Now hear me out. It sounds ridiculous, but remember, Dragon says he doesn't like fighting. This clearly sets him apart from Luffy and Garp. Characters who only got strong because of their intense love for fighting. I think the wind logia is just so powerful that even top tier haki users have to give way. It's a power that can blow any man off any island. But I think the catch is that his wind can only blow in one direction at a time, explaining the focus on directionality in his character. This is why it took specifically two top tiers without devil fruits to defeat Xebec. Xebec was also a no haki king with the wind logia. Roger and Garp defeated him by attacking from opposite directions. Since Xebec could only blow wind in one direction, blowing one away meant blowing the other towards him. His own crew could never overthrow him because they lacked any kind of teamwork, and Xebec picked them exactly for that reason. Xebec is Buggy's father and his corpse can be found in chapter 448 "Moria". He is Zombie 256. A jack in the box zombie who was encountered specifically by the weakling trio encountered in Thriller Bark. "Jack in the Box" is the chapter Dragon is name dropped and revealed to be Luffy's Dad. Chapter 256 is "The War Demon Waipa". In this chapter, Waipa, on behalf of the people from the surface, demanded 100 heads from the people who live in the sky. A punishnent for their past transgressions. Sound familiar? That's probably God Valley. The reason Garp and Roger defended the celestials is because Xebec demanded something cruel like that.

This would mean both Buggy and Luffy had extremely similar dads. The only difference being one was evil, and the other is good. I think it would be a clever twist if it turned out Dragon was actually born a celestial dragon, but ran away and was adopted by Garp, mirroring how Dragon adopted Sabo, the runaway son of a noble family. This would reverse the roles. Meaning Dragon is more like Ganfal than Waipa. A man born in the sky who will fight a member of his own tribe, a false God, aiding the warrior of liberation in defeating him.

He 100% has the Kukulkan fruit, it makes the most sense. Take this paragraph for example. "The physicality of Kukulkan has been described perfectly in his name. He is a feathered serpent or a snake with feathers and wings. He supposedly can fly into the sky with the help of his wings and talk to the sun. Kukulkan is a popular deity in Mayan mythology, and it’s commonly depicted as a bird-like creature that looks like a human. In some depictions, it’s a standard snake, while in others, it looks like a winged serpent." See how it says he goes and talks to the sun? Do you see where im going with this?

Could there be an extra ability or sum for people who can hear the kings or could dragon be a ancient weapon

i think a wind wind logia fruit or a mythical/ancient zoan fruit, on paper, sound like the coolest types of fruit for the main character's dad, the most wanted man in the world, the leader of an army of revolutionaries, and the dude who has done nothing but stand still and stare east for 1000 chapters to end up having. which is exactly why i dont want him to have either of them. putting aside the fact that hes clearly causing more weather phenomenon than just wind gusts, i think the idea that he just has a paramecia fruit and cant transform into an element or summon the powers of some divine mythological being or some ancient beast from the void century or something make him that much cooler and that much more intimidating. that hes the most wanted man in the world and his devil fruit power is just a paramecia that allows him to control the weather or storms. it's somewhat subversive and, within the context of the story, explains the lighting striking buggy's sword (which a wind logia wouldnt) among other things. would also mean someone in the whole monkey d. family (including luffy's brothers) actually has a paramecia, since luffy has a zoan, ace and sabo had/have a logia, and garp has no devil fruit powers; dragon with a paramecia completes the set. plus, i just always expected it to be a storm devil fruit and not a wind one tbh. the lightning saving luffy's life in loguetown made that obvious to me, so im a little confused why so many people are running with the idea that he can only control the wind. if he does have a storm storm or weather weather paramecia fruit, i think it would be really fucking funny if some like random no name revolutionary we've never seen before had the wind wind logia or some mythical storm deity zoan fruit instead lmao. i would fucking love that so much. maybe he's the bartolomeo of the revs lol, such a dragon fanboy that he specifically hunted for a similar devil fruit and ended up with one thats just way more powerful than dragon's but he has no idea how to use it properly or something.

What if instead of a wind or storm logia, it’s like a Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Karasu Tengu? Or if not a human model then a bird model? He would have the ability to make gusts of wind and fly still, he’d just be a bird human yokai instead of just wind. Tbh if you have the ability of wind you can just blow clouds in from other places.

If Dragon can really Air bend wind then it is possible that he can remove air from the wind pipe/ lungs of his enemies. This really will be a overpowered ability 🔫🔥

If his fruit is the cause of his tatoo than i think he got it after he left the marines cuz when he met vegapunk on Ohara he didnt have his tatoo yet.

Ive got 2 theories myself which arent too far out there, but admittedly are probably wrong. The first is the easiest one, he has the logis fruit for water. Changing ocean currents, as well as ocean temperatures can cause storms very easily. And honestly in the one piece universe control over water (well over 80% of the series takes place on or surrounded by water) is basically the ultimate ability. The second and its a bit further out there, but what if he has the mythological zoan squid squid model kracken? In mythology the kracken is said to control and draw storms wherever it goes, and in dnd and other games and such krackens tend to rival dragons in power, and overtake them in power once in the sea.

Maybe dragon is a dragon that ate a hito hito no mi with a human type fruit. I know chopper already ate this but there could be a different type. Dragon also has deep ties with vegapunk so that could also add to this.

I’m pretty sure if his devil fruit is wind just like oda said about sakazuki and magma he would probably have to be the environment of wind and the entire element itself like Ace would not have died if he wasn’t trying to shield luffy you know like he had to actually not use his Logia power for his fist to just go through him as fire he had to actually let him hit him so I would just put that in the perspective dragon hasn’t been able to be found unless he comes out into the open which he never does so I’m pretty sure being the wind is the best evasion and I’m pretty sure he can just create any types of gust just like you said when he hit his chest talking to Kuma
