My skin broke out just watching this video!!!😂

she is an icon but this routine took me straight back to all the traumatic mistakes i made in skin care.

UMMMMMM.... the eye makeup is still on. 😮😮 how can some of these ladies, who've been working in the industry for so long, not be corrected by someone, or just observe and learn 😵‍💫 this is shocking to me. That being said, I do love that she talked about menopause. I believe women should be more vocal about this natural stage of life, instead of pretending it doesn’t exist.

I could never go to sleep with my eyes being covered with make up. Eyes are so sensitive... I have learned that going through several eye infections within last months. I understand that maybe she doesn't feel comfortable with showing her bare face and it's fine but please don't follow this routine and always clean your eyes. We just have two of them for the lifetime👀🙏🏻

Olive oil does the same for me. I use either coconut oil, sesame oil or almond oil as makeup remover. Never had any problem with them. Been using these for 20 years.

Maybe using another brand of olive oil if that doesn’t work then stop using it. plus if it worked for her and it didn’t work for you don’t bother to try it!

That’s because you used too much and didn’t cleanse it off well enough and your skin wasn’t dry , this method is really good for a face scrub on mature skin

@@duallove6909yeah me too , mainly just for a face scrub cpl times a week using castor sugar, in UK that just means just more ground up particles of sugar so it’s not scratching your skin . Makes my skin look and feel so good

@@theroadlesstraveled3993 olive oil is not a rinsed off product. At best it melts down the makeup. But that grease stays on your skin and creates a barrier preventing anything from penetrating. As for the sugar, what’s the point to exfoliate every night ?

There's a ton of information on olive oil as a make-up remover and moisturizer out there. As well as cleansing with oil. Some people need to exfoliate daily/more frequently than others. Everyone's skin and needs is unique to them.

@@theroadlesstraveled3993 Olive oil is rich in oleic acid, meaning it clogs pores. Any oil can dissolve makeup, the problem is that you’ll need a hardcore cleanser to take that off properly. I don’t why in 2024, people still apply food on their face. There are actual skincare products formulated for that, that do the job gently and properly and that are inexpensive. No food oil is going to be as effective as an actual cleansing oil or balm

SHE IS ICONIC!

I absolutely love Shania! However, as an aesthetician, I’d never use or advise anyone to use sugar on their skin, even if mixed with olive oil. Olive oil can be great, depending on the skin, although it’s not the best “cleanser” at all, but sugar can’t be used as an exfoliant, like many people think. The grains of sugar are very irregular and they actually hurt your skin instead of exfoliating it. I’d also say a big no to no double cleansing since she only used olive oil and sugar to remove her makeup and it didn’t really cleanse her skin.

I actually love this routine. I think these twenty different product routines with $300 gadgets are ridiculous. She broke every dermatologist skincare rule and proved it doesn’t matter. Her skin looks great , so she obviously knows what works for her. My grandmother only ever used olive oil and Irish spring soap and had the most beautiful skin. I unfortunately, could not use olive oil or Irish spring.

Oh good grief. I’m going by what she does in the video. Hence the title of the series. She is showing what she does daily. I don’t actually know what she does every minute of every day or what her doctors prescribe her. That would be illegal and what you call invasion of privacy. But if this gives you peace of mind, she states in the video “ I don’t do much else, I’m going through menopause and I want to keep it simple.”

Shania I am a HUGE fan of you.... But with all due respect I highly doubt that you look this amazing with just this very brief routine. Now I'm curious what your morning skincare regimen is......with that being said you look absolutely STUNNING.

This would not work on me. I have very sensitive and oily skin. I use Cetaphil cleanser all over my skin and eyes and benzol peroxide gel that's OTC because if I don't use it I have adult acne and dermatitis and Cerave PM moisturizer and an oral medication to prevent breakouts that routine works for me. I do this every night at bedtime and in the morning except for moisturizer I use the Cereve extra light moisturizer for oily skin and I try to use Eucerin sunscreen if it doesn't burn my eyes.

How does the serum and lotion absorb after all that olive oil?😊

EV Olive oil and rice flour makes a great exfoliant… Learned that from Giada….

Uhh, gosh... water as hot as you can handle, dear me... Olive oil, well, hmm, but to be on the safe side you can use mineral oil and way less sugar, but not everyday. A great tip is to use a mix of mineral oil, half and half, with a micellar gel wash, work it in to the skin briefly and foam up with LUKEWARM water, then remove it with lukewarm water and a microfiber cloth, thank me later...
