Great breakdown and observations. Always thought what held the Bears back for so many years was the ownership's reluctance to spend money to correct mistakes. All those first time coaches told me the Bears were super cheap. Since the hiring of Poles we see a different sense of commitment from ownership. Seems they have become more focused on winning and culture rather than pinching pennies. This seems to have started when Phillips retired. Good things coming for Bears nation. Finally.

keeping adding 'concepts' year on year is the key. year 1 should have half the concepts as say year 3? And changing the names for each concept during h-t is key too, as Defences will learrn what concepts are run out of the plays called. AND taking what defences gives you is meant by having the 'ability' of QB to audible plays (left/right side) simply by changing the concept based on what the QB sees once they line up and motion a WR.. See Rogers do this over the years. Now is it Calebs turn?

Trestmen is a successful offensive mind, actually. The issue was the defense was absolute trash those years because they never found quality young players and kept Tillman, Urlacher, Briggs, etc much longer than a team probably should.

Wish I knew the answer to that. I linked a couple articles about it, the 2nd on (in the description below my video) goes in depth on how Brady and Peyton were using it and how other NFL offenses needed to adjust or those two would dominate the league. That article is from 2013, most teams didn't adjust but a number of teams in the NFL do use it.

So the Kirk Cousins playcall that u recited came from his coach O'connell who also came from under Sean McVay. I doubt very seriously if they are making the playcalls shorter just because of a tree that they come from. Playcalls are complicated for a reason in the nfl. There's a reason why the best qbs in the league are normally the smartest 1s. They just spent basically a whole rookie ota and minicamp getting Caleb used to the playcall, route concepts, protections and cadence. All of this in the playcall, hence the reason why it's so complicated. Now if the only thing they were worried about at the end of minicamp was Caleb's cadence then I take it he has some basic idea about the rest of the offense. Dumbing down the playcall is not gonna make him better. It'll just make it so you have less answers if the defense gives you a look that doesn't favor your call in the huddle.

Not give up on hi when all he needed was these same things. not consistently put him into bull crap. for 3 years. Then trade him off. & hang him out to dry just to bring in caleb. They could have kept justin & drafted caleb then it would be cool with me To transition over to caleb if Justin wasnt a QB. The fact that we will never know now & I feel yall are tryinjg t o clean the boo boo on yall face by doing what you can to sell us on Caleb. If hes a bust then he will really be a bust instead of setting him up to be way better than justin & having everything in the world so he can't fail. thats bull! & a complete crap field by doing this for a kid I cant let him just come in & be this guy that I cant see until i see him playing some NFL level football & struggle way more than what Justin had to do with NO help at all!!
