The 2017 Derby City Classic wraps up with the 9-ball division finals between Shane Van Boening and Dennis Orcollo.
Shane “The South Dakota Kid” Van Boening has more trophies than could possibly all fit in just one trophy case. He had won the Derby City 9-ball division four times, long with two Derby City One Pocket and two Derby City All Around titles.
Dennis “Robocop” Orcollo has a few trophies of his own. 2011 Derby City 9-Ball Champion, 2014 Derby City Bank Pool and 2014 Derby City All Around Champion are just a few of those.
Orcollo had a rebuy, so Van Boening would have to beat him twice. Orcollo had eliminated Van Boening earlier in the event on the 10-ball event. This would be his chance to avenge that loss.
Mark Wilson and Danny Diliberto called the action.
