JEREMY JONES vs JOSE PARICA - 2003 US Open 9-Ball Championship Final

Спорт

Before he was well known as the Mosconi Cup Team Captain and one of the best commentators in the sport today, Jeremy Jones was a competitor on the biggest stage of them all, the finals of the 2003 US Open 9-Ball Championship.
Jones won the US Open One Pocket Championship in 1988 and the Camel Pro Billiards 9-Ball Open the following year.
Jose Parica, is well known as “The Leader of the Invasion” referencing his position as the first of the Filipino players to “invade” the United States pool scene. He had many titles leading to this event, including the 2002 Derby City Master of the Table and 2003 Derby City Classic One Pocket Championship.
This is 9-ball, race to eleven, winner breaks.
Jim Wych and Bill Incardona call all of the action.

My favorite part was when he shot three balls in a row without leaving the table.

NO WAY! I missed that action. I was too busy fast forwarding over the most boring player in the world.

I actually met Jeremy when he was in town and shared a smoke with him. Great down to earth guy and humble. We need more like him.

Finally saw a video of Jim Wych playing Snooker. In Canada. Think this is the fourth time I've seen Jones play.

I gave Jeremy Jones the 8 ball right after he won the us open! I won the first 2 sets he won the 3rd. Then he won the 4th and I quit!

I started playing about 7 years ago, and from the very beginning started using the glove, cause the house cues i used were so sticky. Pretty quickly bought my own cue but continued with the glove, and now i feel that if i take the glove off, i have no touch or "feel" for my speed and pace. Summer or winter, dry or damp the feel is always the same. And it prevents that stupid messing with the chalk/powder which stains the table.

... Ole' Jeremy " Towel Powder " Jones ( 💔😱💔 It's like watching paint dry 💔😱💔 ) ... I have one recommendation and one comment pertaining to this match ... First I recommend watching this match at 2.00 speed instead of the normal speed ... And secondly ... Can you imagine how long this match would have taken if it was extremely close and went 10-10 with one game to win this U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship ( Look at how long he takes with a substantial lead - Imagine if it was extremely close or if he was down by numerous games ) 🤔☹😱😱😱😱🥺🤔

Watching Jones play is like watching paint dry, and listening to his negativity is fingernails on a chalkboard.

That is as selfish as selfish can get. What a table hog! I used to play a super slow player, it's actual torture. All I wanted to do was quit and go home to play pool.

Jeremy likes to have a drink, eat a meal, read the paper, and take a dump in-between every shot, and it would later be his downfall when the shot clock came into play.
