I've never seen Shane smile more than when talking about 8-ball. Wish there were more high profile 8-ball tournaments to go along with 9-ball.

I've been preaching for a couple years if your Fargo is over a 750, 9 ball is a joke. That's why they have to keep messing with the break rules to try to make it appear competitive.

Is 8 ball even a thing in professional pool? I swear all the matches from 2023 and 2024 that pop up on KZread to watch are either 9 ball or 10 ball. Not knocking the games but why is everyone so scared of 8 ball?

at a pro level it's a one inning game. the moves he's talking about is maybe found in chinese 8-ball, but even there they run out quite often. it's nothing like chess. good thing is there exists a game which rewards all around skills and moving prowess - one pocket. best game there is
