You did good!
This is amazing, what a throwback to ski history.
Years ago I was there for the first time after a bachelor party with some friends and a backpack was forgotten at the lodge midway up hill. I said I'd go get it as we all met t the lower lodge at 4pm. I just grabbed a chair that looked high enough. When I got to the top of the lift sitting on the chair to the right i noticed was very steep and icy and had a skull and cross bone sign.....on 205's I was like yeah noooo way. So I skied left after getting off the chair along the upper rim until it reached the end. This place had 3 skull and cross bone signs....i was yeah im screwed... a 6' drop into or onto the edge of an ice cliff. It was death for sure if you made any mistake.....was getting dark and i was not about to walk back to the lift...i should have. Seriously that part of the run sees no sun and was just a sheet of ice. each time i turned was a jump rotating skis 180 and trying to slow down before i'd slam into rocks the other side. I'd been skiing for 20 years but would never want to intentionally ski where I went on this day. After almost shitting myself for what seemed like 40 or 50 attempts at avoiding death with each turn i made it to the lodge and when i walked in people were staring and clapping. I was like yeah no big, I do that shit all the time on 205's.

What run was it?
RIP to another great KT skier. Miss my cousin former Squaw legend and racer Eric Conner.
Meet Shane in Jackson back in the 90s. Super nice guy and great athlete.
May he rest in peace
RIP Shane.
r.i.p buddy
Truly the best chair. Don't think he even mentioned all the Oly Lady terrain KT accesses, some of my favorite is there.
RIP
Omg I miss Squaw Valley so much

This doesn't really do KT-22 justice. You could have done some helmet cam descents and highlighted the various runs off the top. I did appreciate the Mosely reference, but would have liked to have seen how deep those moguls get on West Face. Yikes! I think my legs still hurt from 1998 (I was staying at Squaw Valley Lodge when JM took gold).

Those moguls can get really deep! I slid from the top to the tree i the middle at the bottom. My pants were torn from the crotch to each knee! I was bruised and tattered. My friends made me hit it again on the next run.
…..still waiting for the tour of KT…
RIP brother :(
So where is the clip with Shane throwing down?
Original was nuts.
Goed gedaan
lmao, when J3 still existed :). RIP shane.
