sometimes I wonder how much easier her life would have been without Frank. Would Steve still be on the scene? Would Lip and Debbie have turned out better? Fiona was a great parent considering her age but having Frank around certainly didn't help. Maybe he should have left too like Monica did.

@@abeedeahmed5626 but that's the thing. He didn't leave, yeah he was an alcoholic wreck and would do lots of screwed up shit but he was still there and they still at least knew their dad. Frank is not a completely horrible person like Terry milkovich is, he just got corrupted by the addiction and anyone who's been through it will relate to frank. When you're abusing alcohol AND opioids your morals will eventually go to shit one day and you'll be to numb to even understand how much you're effecting people or you just won't care but that's an effect of the Numbing.

Season 4 that follows is one of my favorite seasons of a TV show ever. It has some of the best writing and performances I've ever watched. And I've watched great shows.

How TF did Emmy Rossum NEVER WIN AN EMMY AWARD ??!! HOW? She’s so fvcking good as Fiona

This show was all over the map in quality throughout its run.... but the one consistent, was that when they let Emmy and Macey loose to really act the shit out of an emotional scene, it was ALWAYS fucking incredible.

1:05 I’m not sure if this is more sad or funny. “Throwing up blood”. “That’s because I got too much of it in me. It’s a filtration process. My body knows how to flush itself out.”

It's so shameless how Frank basically killed Butterface to sleep with her and get her pension then criticized her for trying to get a new heart. Now he turns around and just expects his family to give him a liver now that he needs it...

I love how Showtime advertised itself.

I think this was the proudest Frank ever felt about Fiona. Talking him into a corner takes a lot of effort.😂

I have a grandmother who I haven't spoken to for years me and my siblings and parents have never been close to her for good reason. If and when she dies I won't be happy obviously, but I don't think I'll be that upset either

They did such a good job at showing the struggle being a parent adicted to alchol and the child dealing with it al it lit being between loving your parent but the bond is so broken

I feel like all of them kind of love Frank in doses but they keep their distance emotionally because its easier for them. Frank is horrible but at least he pops up once in a while and he's proven since this scene he does care about them. I feel like he really deep down loves Fiona and Lip because they each had the potential to be something greater than he is.
