When you're saying the n-word with a negative connotation, it can fill anyone’s rage. Both three versions of the n-words and other forms have been used to belittle black people for centuries. I remember the first time being called that word by a racist and then another time by someone ignorant. In one they were white and in another they were non-white. Both hurt. When a Black person gets called that, or they hear it proudly out of someone’s mouth, it reminds them they’re nothing but the color of the skin. And secondly, they remember that there’s more to come. So, when Hiphop set forth to reclaim the word, it wouldn’t be with the hard “r” but now a softer “a.” The now reclaimed slur showed strength, but why couldn’t white or non-white people say it? Because, the word is still use to degrade Black people. See even with the acronym: Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplishment That n-word (KZread censors sucks) was a homeboy, homie, bro, cuz, whatever-traditionally a man in AAVE-. But when applied to a non-black person, it’s highly offensive because it carries deep seated racism and inferiority. What makes the word controversial is the use among Black individuals, which has been a debated in the community for decades. I don’t want anyone referring to me in that way, regardless of their race. The same can be applied with Queer, some in the LGBT+ community use it and some don’t. Same with dyke but it’s only used by them! The word is so deeply rooted in homophobia, racism (in many cases), and lots of other stuff that’s it’s only okay for the reclaimed community to use it. And because both of those slurs still have that power and is still in use to belittle someone, then it’ll never be okay to be used by anyone else. Even with context, I don’t want anyone calling me that or using that word. I don’t give “N-passes”, my name is right there. (I didn’t reread this and I’m tired, so excuse the parts that may be choppy)

I recommend seeing how much you like season 8 when you get to it. If you think season 8 is awesome, you’ll probably enjoy season 9. If you think season 8 is alright, you’ll hate season 9.
