Kinda refreshing seeing a hear company displaying kit that isn’t just their companies products.

The style and set up for the LBE is very much like the British Army style. Distribution of load is effective and it is versatile in that it can be worn with or without armor. Easy to grab and lug around. Thank you for the video. Very informative

I've been making the same argument for a year or so now, about how we've (specifically the USMC Infantry) gotten away from self sufficiency and studying field craft. Glad to see someone with a solid following bring it up.
@cm-pr2ys
Жыл бұрын
What do you mean by field craft?
@snarkywriter1317
Жыл бұрын
@@cm-pr2ys Pretty sure Hamski means conducting military operations for extended periods without immediate access to vehicles and resupply (i.e., long-range recon patrol on foot, that sort of thing). Most MOUT and counterinsurgency operations, as the video alluded to, have overall tended to be vehicle-mounted with ready access to either ground or aerial resupply, so guys can pack and set their kit up in a very minimalist fashion, and ignore a lot of the sustainment equipment that a unit would need if they had to stay functional in the field for more than a few hours/days at a time based only on what they are carrying themselves and don't need to practice the knowledge of how to use sustainment gear, set it up, and if needed improvise and supplement it from what you have available in the AO and in your gear. I would say, though, that even with good training in field craft those sorts of operations are eventually unsustainable and resupply does have to happen, since you can only carry so much stuff before you lose effectiveness and you can only forage so much before you either lose mission focus or turn the locals against you.

You won my respect when you said not all the pouches are yours. Good stuff man!
Loving the inside look from the pros as well as the comments “Incase I was able to recover some frags if things got weird” 😂 good hint
Got about half way through then stopped to comment. I am amazed! An honest to goodness “war belt.” Not a four hour mission belt or super cool tactical range belt, but an actual war belt! Or whatever you want to call it. Very nice to see and yeah, I got one. Excellent!

Thanks for taking the time to show us your load out. Some awesome ideas there for us regular folks!
I’m begging please. Make that center pouch on your belt a standard item! Great for everything you said for recon patrols but it also looks like the perfect size for a cannon and lenses for moving to and from PB/HS to OP/FFP also looks like it would fit night optics real nice like the muns or pas28 being able to carry that on a belt line would be sick wouldn’t need a “go bag” reducing the shit we hump out also We need that need that fanny in our lives, Breaching cool but folding handsaw and veg clippers on the front loop FFP building gear on the inside freaking dope. Would fit nice on the lower back while skull dragging un like the V shape nut rucks you can only really fit admin stuff in, anyway nice setup man
I still have my loaded out lbe system from my service time from mid 70's to mid 80's. Have made new ones with modern materials. But i feel my well broken in old stuff just fits. Great video. Thanks. JMHO
I love learning about all the little widgets and solutions you make yourself. I watched a similar "shakedown" video of a Scottish highlander and it felt like the same type of spirit of sustaining yourself and inventing little widgets for quality of life
Been running webbing for years, PLCE then jayjays. I’m glad to see Americans coming back around to this kind of system. Works well with Crossfire Australia rucks which can be configured in short back mode for webbing configs.

Long live the suspended belt kit. Ive been beating that drum for years that it isnt obsolescent but needs to be modernized and utilized for exactly your reasonings. So much more superior to live off your belt especially SHTF when you dump the bag to scramble from badness.

Old is new once again! Very similar to the ALICE belt rig I built out in the early 2000s taking inspiration from the kits commonly seen from Vietnam through the 90s and into the early GWOT- Y suspenders on the old ALICE "pistol belt." Front to back, mirrored, 2x 3mag pouches with the dual frag stowage, pistol holster one side- k-bar and radio pouch the other, 2x 1qt canteen pouches, then the old sustainment butt pack center rear, with much of the same contents! A bit less modular, and a little less comfortable than newer iterations like this, but nonetheless still kinda relevant! Good content, Adam!
I've been looking forward to this.
Nice, detailed explanations. Thank you.

I’ve had Surefires since we were using the 951 or whatever it was called lol. Then I started using the Surefire Scout series. Built a new rifle and chose the 600DF and thought it was good. Bought a Modlite for my newest build and it’s in an entirely different league. It’s orders of magnitude better than the brightest Surefire WMLs.
This is fantastic
> most Replayed highlight > straight to the rifle portion This is why we ain't gonna win. So much great info in here that it seems a lot of people skipped over. Water and batteries were on my packing list, but gun cleaning and hygiene were not, thanks for the ideas!

Lots of companies make belt and suspender kits, or similar. Check out getting a surplus Eagle SFLCS. You can pick them up for like $50 and they're solid. They have the same sort of split front two buckle front end and a removable back panel, so I think this custom rig was based on the SFLCS.

@@ExplosiveFetus this. SFLCS is a Molle version of the LBE in my thumbnail. My understanding is that LBT made the first one in this style for the SWCC guys. It’s got swim fin straps on the suspenders, and machine gun tool pouches. Blackhawk and Eagle made their own versions of this style of LBE. Eagle’s version was better made and performed the molle tasks better, but my Blackhawk LRAK is still bomb proof.

There are a bunch of chest rigs and LBE gear that is so hard to put on quickly that it literally takes a buddy to snap the buckles up. Thank You
