No death, could be a sub 10 : 50 if I managed to get the jump over the shielded enemy in the 4-3 stage and get the huge trick that despawns at least a dozen of enemies, including the annoying pink ninjas. Beat the previous WR by 1 min 17 sec.
Timer starts after Insert coin & Start, timer ends with the last hit on the Final Boss (when her lifebar completely disappears). Dipswitches shown at the end (Normal difficulty).
Awesome game, much better than the Mega Drive/Genesis version IMO in basically every possible way. More fun for regular playthroughs/1CCs, for speedruns and even for the No Shuriken challenge.
Unfortunately not many people run it due to it being an arcade-only game (the Master System port is terrible).
Played on December 1st 2021.
No save states, no turbo/autofire, no cheats

Before Sonic, the ninja was quite popular
when games were so simple and when it did not take 10 years to make them due to constant delays and shit and with no DLC greed...btw awesome speed run 😀

@@tsav8449 Absolutely not. The arcade version is slow and clunky compared to the Genesis version.

@@redvenomweb back then I was disappointed not having the real arcade conversion, but now I am happy it is different and they didn't make a watered down arcade excuse. The music is absolutely outstanding, but I never liked the stage design. Level II boss looks like they were to program a train boss just like the arcade counterpart, as you can see there are railway tracks in the graphics, but probably the system capabilities couldn't handle it so they turned it into a generic wall monster. Also I hated it that every enemy dissolves into one puff of smoke and every human boss explodes, that's so stupid and unrewarding.
