Aw shucks, thanks for the shout out! Gave me the warm fuzzies I needed after a rough day.😊 You mention being surprised people listen to an episode more than once.... Here's one reason why... When you first came out with your Team America episode I had heard of it but was always on the fence about watching it. After listening to the episode I had to watch the movie immediately. All of the detail that went into it that you guys highlighted made me super interested. My partner and I watched it for the first time together a few days later. It was amazing. Shortly after that, her and I listened to your episode together...and I was just as entertained as I was the first time now that I had seen everything you guys talked about. Just the way that you guys present all of the behind the scenes info makes a movie that much more interesting all over again. And once I knew what you were talking about it was fun to rehash the insane details with you guys all over again. Y'all rock. ♥️

I've been waiting for someone else to talk about this movie for years! This is my family's favorite Christmas movie. One of our main Holiday traditions is watching this together, every December. It's far from perfect, but we love how dysfunctional the family is, how good all the actors are, and seeing Ben Affleck get hit in the head with a shovel. We all basically have the entire script memorized and can say each line right before it happens. The cynical comedy, improv, and top tier acting chops reminds me of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and I genuinely think is a prelude to contemporary comedy like Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Judd Apatow films. Please DM me if you need to know more about what's wrong with us lol. I'm serious. Y'all said you wanted me to email you, so here's this.

I’ve probably relistened to every episode at least a few times and can’t wait to see what you make in the new year!! Happy holidays to each and every one of you guys. And thank you so much for putting out lots of amazing content this year. Here’s to another great year of delving into Hollywood madness on the horizon! : ) PS - Honestly kicking myself for not bringing up this idea sooner (especially with Mutant Madness coming out next year), but the Ninja Turtles franchise would be another one that’s right up y’all’s alley for how disastrous some of those projects have been behind the scenes.

It's funny hearing you guys talk about how the movie getting a home media release two months after its theatrical release was considered unusual at the time, when we now live in a post-COVID world, and almost everything now gets released onto VOD 45 days after theatrical release. On a sidenote though, I recall in your rebooting Batman video that you briefly hinted at doing a similar video on Superman. With the recent news about Henry Cavill, and with next year being the 10th anniversary of Man of Steel, I think that a rebooting of Superman video would be a very interesting video to see.
@ItWasAShtShow
Жыл бұрын
A Superman reboot video is definitely on the list but in that same time period; Reeve to Routh (and that fun detour with Nic Cage).
EDIT: Holy crap I got a named shout out! Well, my year is now complete. Just 2 things: 1. Thanks Clint. Been using this handle since High School. GoT is close, but I actually stole the name from Gandalf. 2. I can do a Kiwi accent... sort of... maybe... depends on the day... and how drunk I am... and how drunk the people listening to me are... So, am I a contender to replace Clint? -------- I'm always sad and excited when a new episode comes out. Excited because, well, all the obvious reasons, and sad because this means I'll need to wait another month for another dose. So much so in fact, that I'm tempted every now and then to put off watching the episode just so I can get a double dose next month. EDIT 2: I have never appreciated being called a S#!t head more in my entire life. Lastly, #ReleaseEmpiresOfTheDeep
