You guys should do one of these on ALF, despite the family friendly appearance there was so much turmoil and outright hatred going on behind the scenes that when it finally ended several members of the main cast either quit the business or restricted their participation in the industry only to voice acting. There's also the story behind the making of ANOES: 5: The Dream Child which was made during a writers strike leading to all kinds of behind the scenes drama along with a looming deadline that they couldn't push back because new line already had a firm release date along with promotional materials made up for it before they even had a rough draft script.

The only Nintendo ips that I think would work in movies and tv to me are: Metroid: it would be super awesome if we get an almost sci-fi suspense movie/series with Samus as the silent protagonist that doesn’t have a lot of dialogue. Legend of Zelda: same thing you guys said but I have no idea which game can be best adapted into a series/movie. My guess would probably be skyward sword or ocarina of time. Punchout: I would love a comedic mockumentary style movie/series based on the game. Like, have you guys seen the American commercials for punchout wii??? Some thing in that style would be perfect!!! Splatoon: I think it would thrive as an anthology series with each episode following a different character because the world is so well built. Maybe one episode with one of the agents, one with the squid sisters or off the hook or just one with a random character going by their day. The possibilities are endless! I just really hope one of these series gets a good movie or series that will actually bring more fans into the games while making the old ones happy.

I feel that the only really good video game movie for the longest time was Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children, mostly because it was made by Tetsuya Nomura, and it felt right, it succeeded because he worked on the game and the movie so he knew what he was doing, unlike the other video game movies in the 90s where the original creators weren’t involved in the production of the movies.

1:07:11 Why not try "Waverunners"? Skywalkers worked. It's pretty much impossible to make a Punch-Out!! or Metroid Movie. You either stray too far from your source material or you get sued by the people who own Rocky respectively the Alien Franchise. 1:21:38 Sometimes such cuts are totally non-sensical though. A good example is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The novel is the longest in the series clocking in at an impressive 1020 pages. Yoz cannot put all of this into the Movie. But that the headquarters of the subtitles namesake hardly shows up when they spend hundreds of pages there is kinda rediculous.
