@@anoriginalname5142 Turns out, Glutonny & Maister did a bo5 money match the day before, in which it was a 3-0 against glut. Glut then requested double or nothing, which ended up as a 3-2 in maister's favor. They also fought in the Mexico vs. The World crew battle, in which Maister won. That's a total of 9 different games before this tourney match, so I do think the matchup is actually in g&w's favor.

Glutonny was the first SSBU player I saw in match, Maister is the first g&w player I've seen playing (g&w is my main) and both of them are my favorite players. Seeing a match with both of them is what I've dreamed of!

Glutonny is a legend and my fave smasher, but I honestly think that G&W is Wario's hardest counter. Those disjoints, his small frame and unbeatable recovery just stuffs Wario out. I'd like to see Gluto pull out the Bowser against G&W, just to cap on the extra reach and kill power.

Bowser is a horrible choice against gnw. The combos extend for longer and edgeguarding is ez.

@@shriki21 Bowser probably isn't THAT bad for G&W, after seeing Leon's Bowser performance recently. It seems like being combo'd as Bowser is just something you have up accept but rage makes Bowser kill INSANELY early. And g&w could be losing stocks at as low as 30-40 from a good read. Only downside to the matchup would be edge guarding for sure. Bowser is sooooo vulnerable offstage it's not funny.

Fantastic effort by both players, but you can really see Gluttony struggling either due to the MU being bad for Wario or MU inexperience - hopefully the former.

Maister had gotten 40% from jab before. GnW doesn't usually get pushed back while doing jab, the opponent does. So If you're getting jabbed at ledge GnW is forced to move back while the opponent is stuck.

Very specific circumstances. Small platform or ledge to keep the opponent from moving, being on top of a player, bonus points for a heavy, in which they sometimes follow you going back and take an extra 10%.

Almost anything can knock Wario off his bike. I think it just has to hit his hurtbox, instead of the bike's hitbox which is easily bypassed by "bacon" (assorted meat).

If he goes to more tourneys or places better at A tiers and S tiers, it's be ez for him to place 30-50 on PGR. Possibly even higher since he pulls off wins against high ranked players like Gluttony, Esam, MVD, etc.

At the level of play these two gods of smash are at, there is no excuse for not knowing matchups. Talk about getting WRECKED.

Nerf G&W up-b and buff his approach. It's never good to have a single move the main strength of the character and invalidates entire characters alone.

How does up-b invalidate an entire character? Just play safe on shield, space it. He can't OOS you if you're not on top of him. Some characters are going to lose vs G&W but that's true of any character in the game, everybody has good and bad matchups. G&W's up-b is 2 frames, which is super quick, but many characters can react OOS that quickly.

@@fireandworms Most, if not all of the characters that have up-b OoS can be punished if they miss while that's not the case with this character. It's a boring character to play against when everytime they get threatened they up-b and go back to neutral.
