Maister is playing really hot recently

It's interesting to compare this set to the grand finals of Rise&Grind 2023. I feel like Miya keeps Gluto in disadvantage for around 90% of the match, about 4% of the time they're in neutral, and in the remaining 6% Gluto is in advantage state. Meanwhile, here, I'd say around 70% of the match is in neutral, 28% is Gluto in disadvantage and 2% is Gluto's advantage state. So basically, Maister frustrates Gluto with a slow neutral that leaves very few openings for him, while Miya outright doesn't let him play the game most of the time. In both cases, it's obvious that the matchup is less than ideal for Gluto, and ultimately it still comes down to the same main reason(G&W's hitboxes beat Wario's hitboxes), but the method used by the two G&W mains is completely different. It's fascinating imo.

Maister's personality is the main reason people don't like him. He tries to play the villain but when he gets shit on for talking smack to a 15 year old he flips the script. I don't care but that seems to be the general consensus.

Stop projecting your country flag obsession. Maister doesn't deserve the hate he gets but Miya and him have a very different playstyle. I do prefer Miya very much because of his crazy advantage state, not his nationality.

Miya might be the best gnw in general terms but maister is better in certain scenarios and this is the example. Maister knows how to play against the person he is facing. There is two ways to beat him 1. Play very often with him 2. Have better mental than him

I dont think Miya is a better GnW than Maister. We also have to respect Maister for being the one who brings GnW at this level, now considered as a top character thanks to him. And the top players are used to playing against Maister, so it is an advantage for Miya who plays slightly differently.

I’m really not sure what Wario is supposed to do here, aside from get a lead and make GnW use his pretty poor approach options while charging a waft. But that can be so hard when you’ve no range or disjoints. Having to fight GnW up close looks horrible.

@@johnbingham5693 It is, but the upside is that G&W dies to waft at like, 40 at ledge. He was making progress earlier with his grab game, I wonder if he should incorporate more tomahawk grabs and work on parrying the landing hits of nair and bair, so he can guarentee the few openings he gets and then camp for waft.

His neutral was really good but he wasn’t forcing rps scenarios enough, Maister was able to win the slow game by using fairs and stuff, if glutonny forced guess situations more he can abuse how light gnw is and how heavy wario is.

gluto tried his best man, really don't like maister's gameplay on this one
