Maister starts off with spamming nair then later in the game after he does get up on ledge and he just spams smash attacks. He will miss the smash attacks and gets the kill with fair, bair ,nine hammer or tilts.

Maister is awesome but Tweek played very wise, he adapted to Maisters playstyle and made him look predictable the last two games. But still both of them are amazing and also very fun to watch.

This was such good set to watch definitely a great losers final maister definitely went out strong this tourney taking out Samsora and light convincingly(poor light though getting 3-0'd lmao but after seeing fatality going 2-3 against cosmos in the falcon-inkling matchup I feel like he just needs more MU practice) and tweek(even though we already know he's going to get bodied by mkleo) definitely showing why he's worthy of being called one of the best players in the world

Up-b out of shield and comes out on frame 1, up smash has armor on frame 1, down air has very little lag, game and watch probably has the safest moveset of the cast

Wario is probably one of the few characters that can camp out GnW and therefore also not get as punished by his up B as most characters, since he gets rewarded as the time goes on because of waft and also doesn't camp because of him zoning out with projectiles which GnW otherwise can deal with because of bucket

you just threw out buzzwords. wario doesn't beat gnw, even maister doesn't think so. wario can't "outcamp" gnw. he doesn't have any tools other than his airspeed to do so. even then, he has trash range and no way to force the opponent to approach, other than waft (which isn't a good way either, since he will get it regardless of if u approach him or not). wario absolutely gets wrecked by gnw upb. he has bad below hitboxes and again, no range so he can't space well on shield. try thinking harder next time :D

Those smash attacks are pretty much the safest and cheesiest ones in the game. That upsmash is literally a bait into a free kill, not to mention he can throw out another move immediately cause theres so little end lag.

Game and watch has too many safe options, shield pressure-use up b, ledge guarding-use the turtle, rush down-low lag moves from smash attacks and down airs, he gets countered hard from top tier because better frame data, but majority of the cast gg, he might dies early but has way too many safe options

Up smash is safe on shield (provided it’s not parried) on some characters cause you just up b away also it has full body invincibility while his head is moving. Also he has a bucket which is kinda really good; a reflector and an absorber. Chef is an amazing ledge trapper if positioned correctly. Judge is what judge is. The bombs are also really good shield pressure fair -> fair -> up smash breaks full shields. He’s very good at juggling. Has trouble against swordies tho

Yes, G&W side b is lucky in the sense that you are gambling on what number you'll get, but you are forgetting that side b wind up is so long that Maister needed a mix up combo to just get a chance at hitting the 1-9 of judge. Yes the 9 was lucky but the combo set up for a chance at a nine was splendidly skillful.

@@callinater6133 he wasn't destroying him though, he was at high percent vs a fresh tweek stock, and then killed him basically at 0. If he'd gotten another number, he'd probably get another 30-40% before losing the stock, but the mental damage combined with how campy G&W is made the comeback almost impossible because tweek was forced to approach and was pretty tilted

Kellogg Serial he still got 3 stocked and even before he landed a nine he already had a huge lead on tweek. That game was a stomp, I don’t see how anyone can possibly argue that. Mental damage is no excuse. That’s part of the game. ‘Pressuring’ is an official term in the smash bros competitive scene after all.

The only way the judge would’ve backfired so horrendously is if he got a 1 or a 2. Judge is slow so it’s hard to hit and he was gonna win either way. You can’t argue “mental damage” when he obviously bounced back so easily in game 2

Nathan Mount Have you ever thought about how up smash is -6 on shield, down smash is frame 12, one of the best nairs in the game is -5 on shield, and most of all, up b is a frame 3 invincible out of shield option that combos? There's a reason why Maister spams this stuff. It's because they're super good and degenerate moves (aka annoying). I'm so glad that I don't live in a region with a strong rep of this character like Maister lol

Roman 3MP1R3 He was pulling out a vibe check lol. You play on tilt, you tend to run in halfhazardly and get hit. So, Maister was seeing if Tweek was gonna just run in. And I don’t blame him. Tweek kinda loses the drive at times in Losers like M2K when he loses a big set in Winners. Edit: It also sets pressure so Tweek can’t just run in trying to land and attack. And especially due to the armor G&W’s Up-Smash gets during the move, he wants to make sure Tweek doesn’t pressure him and stay in neutral or defense mode.

What? G&W is considered fucking trash. No one plays him, Tweek is playing fucking Wario. It's understandable that you can't give Maister credit for his hard work but damn don't just fucking lie like that. That's like me saying that Tweek only won because he spammed Waft. He used Waft for kill confirms almost every match. Doesn't mean that he's spamming that broken move, just that he's being efficient with Warios moveset. So is Maister, I can allow you to bash him but not to undermine what he's done as someone playing only G&W. Ivysaur up and down air is brokeennnn but none complain be cause it's a hard character to play. G&W is assssss compared to Wario or Pokemon Trainer.

Furthermore, there’s not many jokers besides Leo either. Let’s face it, a lot of top tiers are only lauded as such because of 1-3 people.

Leon Saridakis wario is stubby and has no range. He can easily be walled out, out ranged, and camped. His nair is a great combo starter but why would you get close to wario if you don’t have to? His waft forces his opponent to fight because if they don’t it charges and he keeps his stocks. Since it’s a bad take, why do you think he’d still be a good character without it?
