Many of those who are quickest to deride the creation stories of European cultures are also the quickest to officially declare the creation myths of American indigenous peoples as important oral histories and therefore sacrosanct. So often when reading archeological papers pertaining to the histories of indigenous Americans, I see the authors attempting to walk a precarious tightrope where they water down research findings and include the opinions of native American "authorities" in an effort to both publish their work, but not lose access to archeological sites because they pissed off the natives. It's dangerous to reliable results to allow hard scientific research to be comprised by having to kowtow to special interest groups in order to maintain access to important resources.

I realize his interruptions are important to summarize and provide context for the audience, but as a listener, I would have appreciated fewer of them

@@vickibicknell884 yes but he didnt need to 'clarify' every 5 minutes. he could have done so after the fact. an interviewer must allow the guest to finish his (in this case her) thought(s) and then ask for clarification.

Host interrupts guest Guest starts to speak Hosts interrupts again Guest starts to speak again Hosts interrupts again then says but go on… (Edit) 20 interruptions later… Host: I’m sorry to interrupt (continues to interrupt)

I am beginning to watch this video but I don't even need to watch it entirely to answer the question. Yes, you can tell sex from skeletons. I've watched every single episode of Bones three times. And the titular character-who is based on an actual forensic anthropologist in real life-could always tell sex from the bones. This was way back when TV shoes used to be have some basis in reality. The actual anthropologist, Kathy Reichs, who the show was based on, was a producer on all the episodes because she wanted to keep the science real. So I know at least the physical anthropology bits were true.

Am I the only one picturing interred skeletons that have been placed in positions to help ensure their cozy happiness throughout eternity? 💕And, yeah, PELVISES PEOPLE!

What a great title. Obviously, skeletons have sex (biological) but no gender (behavioral). Which tells something about what has a meaning and what doesn't, if one wants to have definition with legal meanings (e.g., for women rights under legal rules and regulations).
