Definitely be proud of yourself, you made a dress! You have gained more experience. The issues with the dress, maybe it's the pattern? I cannot sew, I am better at DIY. The material is beautiful, would never know it was bed linen. My hands can't do buttons anymore. Using them as decoration while having press studs is a great idea.

I love that rose fabric, so pretty! You’re very brave to attempt a dress Beverley - I’ve only ever done skirts - I find sleeves really tricky! I think it looks lovely - the perfect dress for Spring ❤️

I bought a duvet cover that didn't fit my bed so I'm going to make a dress, I love that you've done similar. I love repurposing cloth, it's so very expensive! I'm a "beginner" sewer. I've been sewing on and off since I was little but never tried to sew anything too involved. My mom was a great sewer! Love your dress and you look even more beautiful in it ❤

That's a great idea to use sheets for fabric! I once made a hooded cape out of some crushed velvet drapes I thrifted. It turned out very nice.:)
