This stomach flu that's going around is not the usual 24 hour flu. My son was sick for almost a week too and I thought we'd have to take him to the hospital because he was getting dehydrated. My mom said she saw something about it on the news. Hopefully you will get rid of it soon, being sick is no fun.

Sorry you’ve had stomach bug-nothing worse! My son and I got a NASTY cold just in time for our trip to Vegas last week. Put a damper on my visit at SewYeah😢. I bought a lemon oliso that had a steam button that would barely push down. Sent in for repair and got it back and six months later-same thing. Irons are frustrating!!! You have so many great tips and tidbits in your videos. Many thanks to you and Scotty for putting your creativity out there for us to gain inspiration and learn from.

Here in Texas where we live we’re still in drought so I don’t think we’ll be shooting off any fireworks this year. Probably be a hot and quiet holiday for us. Hope you get to feeling better. If I was sick I wouldn’t even try to sew! Probably just sew over my own hand or screw up my fabric!

Ya it's dry here and people still shoot off big fireworks. Drives me nuts. I'm feeling better now. I always do something sewing related when I am sick. It's a good distraction from the issues.

Hope you are feeling better soon. I figured out a way you could chainstitch your way of doing this pattern. You do half the total blocks at a time. Color 1, position A, to color 2, b position/ 3a to 4b/ 5a to 6b/ 7a to 8b. Then do the other half total of the blocks 2a to 3b/ 4a to 5b/ 6a to 7b, 8a to 1b. Complete the blocks then turn the complete blocks 90 degree turn. The end results should be the same but quicker. I hope this is understandable.

Your skill honestly amazes me. I dont know what it is, but im not keen on pale pink backgrounds. To my eye, it "ages" the quilt, somehow. Its personal taste, of course. Just saying. Hope you are better.

Can you use a universal 80/12 needle in the juki or should you use only juki needles?

I use titanium 90/14 for my Juki. But I have many sizes for other sewing if need be.
