How To Make A Double Friendship Star Quilt Block

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This I find is the Easiest way to make a Double Friendship Star Block.
This can be done starting with any size squares you want.
I have included what you need for a 5" Unfinished Block and a 11" Unfinished Block.
5" Unfinished Block:
2- 2.5" Background Squares
2- 2.5" 1st Color Squares
2- 2.5" 2nd Color Squares
1- 2" Center Square
4- 2" Background Squares
11" Unfinished Block:
2- 5" Background Squares
2- 5" 1st Color Squares
2- 5" 2nd Color Squares
1- 4" Center Square
4- 4" Background Squares
Note: You can use a Charm Pack and Background yardage for both these sizes. You could also use a Mini Charms Pack for the 5" block and some yardage. Just remember when cutting your yardage, you can separate your squares into piles of what you need of color (5 Colored Pieces Per Block) and then when you have say 42 piles of mini charms, you would just need to cut 84 pieces or 6- 2.5" strips of the bigger number and 168 pieces or 9- 2" strips of your smaller number of your background yardage.
Hope that helps.

You are a great teacher, don't underestimate yourself. You made my day! I have been quilting just over a year but am quite ill, so I have ibeen in and out of the hospital. I am a bit of a fabric hoarder and can't resist a charm pack or mini charm pack on sale (lots of other fabrics too, but now i have 2 boxes of charm packs, i have been looking for an easy project and this will make lovely table runners or mug rugs for me to give as christmas gifts to my many care workers. Im so excited this was just what i needed to get me out of the doldrums after my one month hospital stay in May. Thank you so much. i can't wait for my care worker to get me up and hoist me into my chair and set up the srwing .machine. tomorrow is going to be a fun day!

I made a tote bag from placemats but I had to use your way of doing the square bottom . Finished the raw seams like you showed on the rectangle zipper bad. Couldn’t be happier. Nest time I’m cutting the placemats apart because I didn’t like the thick seams. Just got done watching your double friendship quilt. Got to try this❤❤❤❤❤
