We do what you do. Sometimes if I can we have a butterflied roasted chicken or enchiladas 🤗 Sometimes my husband and makes a shepard's pie. Just anything will do it's just the two of us. 🤗

My mixer is dead so I need a new one! One of my son's said he'd buy me one this Christmas but he got me "zip" so I'll just get it myself! Those looked really yummy. I hope you had enough to go around! Fried potatoes are good anytime! My mom used to get "government" cheese and cans of pork. You haven't lived until you've had the pork ones! I don't know if you can even find it canned or not anymore but for sure I don't think the government has food subsidies now. My mom used to think it was cool to wait in line for that stuff! I've been meaning to watch this and youtube suggested it!

I Love making enchiladas, thanks for some time saving tips.

I come from a family of 15 children. As many as possible gathered at mom & dad's for a turkey & ham feast. As the siblings enlarged their families smaller groups in close proximity grouped together. We are all very good cooks so everyone makes something to contribute to the dinner. Last year here in western NC we had 50 for dinner. Luckily we have a restaurant in the family so we can meet in the large side room. Mom & dad are gone now but we try to continue to celebrate as we did with them. Different sibling and niece/nephew families have their own special dinner the night before Christmas. We need to update our family cookbook and we share news and recipes on our dedicated family page. God bless us everyone.

I pray you are doing as well as you can at this time. Just came across this video while looking at others of yours. Loved it. Between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we have 3 meals between families. Christmas Eve is usually a big covered dish spread with one part of family, Christmas breakfast with another, and then boiled shrimp and other pick up type things for Christmas Evening meal with other family.

Another enjoyable video, gonna try making those enchiladas soon

These days i go to my Niece's house and she cooks everything but the kitchen sink! I get to visit and play with the kids. Then eat till im about to pop. Hardest part is leaving to go home.our Christmas isnt about all the gifts but just being toghter

Sounds like a lot fun. Ours isn't about gifts anymore these days either. There always is some though 😂. Just being with the kids all in one house is good enough here now. I'm glad your Neice is kind enough and does all the cooking. Merry Christmas 🎄

Yes we take turns each year between now 2 houses we usually have ham potatoes of some kind veggies we eat open gifts n then we have pies or whatever desserts there is 3 pm I wonder home n gather things for my sisters house n have Christmas there as well I don’t always eat I’m still from earlier in the day get home she lives 1/2 block from me I walk unless it’s supper cold one of the kids give me a ride

I made these last Christmas and they were a total hit ! I put half of the mixture into a freezer bag for later, and it worked great. Thinking about doing them again this year. I'm so glad you shared this ❤️ It's amazing

Ya all these on the inside of the Enchalada is crazy good flavor. Like its so good even though they are so big it makes you want more cause all the flavors together just explode in your mouth. I don't know how many times I've made these and someone tells someone who tells someone and I always end up making at least 6 pans. We did run out of cheese haha but good thing Scott's mom lives down the street she had her hub drive home and grab a bag cause stores were closed. Just make sure you get enough cheese. And remember to have less amounts for the fewer the people. And 1 is filling the first time you eat them. But then the next time you'll be able to eat 2 in one sitting

What a good idea, how you shred your chicken. Like your process for making the enchiladas. What a festive and tasty Christma Dinner! I can see why your family keep them as a tradition!

Here in Australia, Xmas lunch is a BBQ with salads, very easy and relaxing. We have a Queensland room, like a Florida room, so everyone comes to us for a long lunch. If it's hot, the kids hop in the pool. Chicken broth makes the best soup, just add noodles! Most of your ingredients aren't available here, but I'm sure I can improvise.

We do too. Along with real maple syrup or confectioners sugar. We call them granddads. I only make them on Easter and Christmas as there is no food value. lol. My adult kids still ask for them.

That's cool. My kids loved them so every now and then I'd buy a premade dough pack or even biscuts pack and roll them flat and fry cause they loved them 😄 🤣 😂

Lasagna. It takes an entire day to make from scratch, pasta and the sauces. My mother was taught to make lasagna by an elderly Sicilian lady who used to be the head chef at the american embassy in Rome after WWII. I have never tasted better in all my life (going on 60 years now).

Sounds great, growing up Lasagna was my absolute favorite food. But as I got older it started making me sick cause of the acid. I've only eaten it as an adult maybe once every 3 or so years. It's soooo good when I do have it ☺️

Those are humongous enchiladas, not sure how anyone will have room for those fried potatoes after eating one of those. I make my mom's enchiladas with corn tortillas and her homemade sauce which is super easy but I have no measurements, just do it by eye. Messy food is the best food. Yummy

They are big ☺ but so good. 1 is good to start. But they are so good it's like you can't stop eating them 😂 I've made them with corn tortillas too. But I just love it all together in one 😋 Also my daughters Bf and sons gf were not expecting them like I make so they couldn't eat all their food 😂 I hope you had a very Merry Christmas
