Scoot that sewing machine down to your left. Place a chair with a fabric seat on your right. Chair back to wall. Next place an old towel on top, then I place your wool pressing mat on top (or whatever you have..folded old muslin..that makes you an ironing board). I actually place my iron on my “ ironing center”using an extension cord. I now have two ironing centers. I can sit and chain sew, press all day long with out getting up! Gosh I love my ironing pad right there. Of course, when sections gets big to fit easy on pad, you do have to get up some! Worth figuring out how to get an iron to your sewing machine. I do most trimming after I sew, then press.❤ Love this kind of mindless sewing (KH)

You have inspired me. I use scraps and cut them into various sizes, and I am definitely not a crime quilter. But I love your idea you’re doing because I use every color imaginable in my quilting so my scraps are extremely varied. This idea is super for a future project in Linus Quilt.

Great idea Tiffany. I'm using my scraps at the moment to make 12" crumb blocks. I have about 25 made. But they're small scraps ha ha. Like you say it's just fun and relaxing with no worries, just pick up scraps and start sewing. It's amazing what us quilters can do with scraps and crumbs....... take care. Hugs from England 🇬🇧🇺🇸

Those legit kits are pretty pricey, but it would cost alot more to gather all the fabrics yourself... if you could find the fabrics. Guess if a person is skilled in color theory and artistry they could wing it with their own color palette. I haven't done much paper piecing and doubt that I would stick with it to finish. But seems a good value for an experienced paper piecer or someone very motivated to master the skill.
