Everyone wants top dollar for their dilapidated homes these days because of the market gouging on everything essential. Yes, consider the new build and see if you can choose your colors and tiles and cabinetry, closets, etc. I hope you're not an HOA. Those can be a nightmare. Glad to see you.

My husband and I looked at 54 houses before we found the one we wanted. And I was pregnant at the time. You will find the one meant for you. Just keep looking-it will work out. Don’t settle.

Watching your house hunting journey goes to show that finding your forever home has so many factors to consider and it's not a decision one makes off the fly. Don’t give up hope you two. Please don’t get your hopes up for ‘the’ perfect house. Decide what you definitely must have, and look for that. You won’t find the perfect house, unless you decide to build it. Keep the faith.🌺

House #4 is a real jewel (diamond in the rough). With cosmetic updates: New paint, flooring, and kitchen countertops will completely refresh it. It also looks like it is in a nice neighborhood. I hope you are able to get it for a budget/price that makes sense.

Painting wall is the least, took me 1 day to paint my living and dining room and they are big. So don't let Painting the house a downer.

Whew Chile! I felt the exhaustion from the house hunt.... Here is my advice tho... Just like buying a car, you test drive before signing on the dotted line... Find out who the builder is .. do they have a model home similar to the one they're building now.... Then if so ... Go and walk it to see if it fits what y'all want. I pray you guys find the home of your dreams among all the mess some ppl trying to sell...

Still on the hunt? You will find the right one soon. It took us about 7 months to find our home but when we saw it we instantly knew it was the one.

Hi, I could see the frustration that you both felt. Having gone through the house hunting, purchasing and updating experience it all can be challenging. I have friends who looked for months with a few looking for up to a year all while loosing out every time they put in competitive home offers, it can indeed be an emotional roller coster. I don’t say this to discourage you. I want you to know that ALL of them did eventually get their homes. While they were at first exhausted and disappointed in the house hunting experience, they all found a home that they now love and are really happy to have with no regrets. I hope that you were able to pause and breath for a moment to confirm which home you want to put an offer on. It will all be okay. You will get a home that you enjoy now and with your children in the future.

I agree with you on the low ball offer for house #4. That needs major work. I would fully gut the kitchen just to start and knock down a couple walls. But it does have potential.

On the house grind....it can be fun and exhausting at the same time....you guys are going to find it....we built all 3 of our homes, this can be great as well as irritating too but, well worth it....many blessings.....also buying in the suburbs you get more bang for your buck, don't know how far out you want to be from your schools but, yeah.....enjoy guys.....😊

I like the one story ranch with the outdated kitchen. Easy fix. The house has lots of potential.

I wonder if yall were near Lithonia for the first house I use to live in a neighborhood like that as a kid and all the houses were similar to that one, we didnt have wood floors though just carpet. Our house was light pink but there were also white, yellow, and light purple houses in the neighborhood .

Plus many people report new builds aren’t built very well. My brother bought a new build three years ago and he had to replace his pipes this past year. The quality isn’t there and they have small lots, no storage, and super close to neighbors.

Yep it’s painful. But if it’s not a new home you may have to knock some walls down remolding to make the house your own. If not that found some land and build. Sorry you had no luck in house hunting, but you will found something soon. 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️

House 4 looks a lot like Dustin’s old house in Indy. 💯

House 4 is seriously outdated in layout and even fixtures. But it is a nice renovation project, but only for the right price. But the market these days, it’s way more difficult to lowball these days. I lowballed but that was in 2012 and I looked at 111 (yes, exact number) properties over a 2 year period. And I got a foreclosure of a builder that went belly up.

That room is called a bonus room that can be used however

House 4 has alot of potential but I agree it is going to need some WORK! Have you all considered building your dream home? Anywho, hope you all having a great weekend and looking forward to your summer break! Tfs and as always ya'll stop being soo adorable!

I lived in Atlanta and sold houses for a while! Lots of inventory and great areas to live one of my favorite builders was Wieland Homes beautiful four sided brick homes . It’s been years so I don’t know if they are still going strong but that was a awesome selling point in the early 2000’s. Happy hunting, you will know the right home when you walk in! ☺️

Without the home being staged the average person doesn't have the ability to imagine what each room could be so you need someone to direct you.

We love those areas but it’s difficult to find anything under $450,000 in either area.

I pray you find the perfect house.

Neighbors are not going to tell you that they don’t like their houses because they don’t want to diminish their property value. I hope you get the house that you love.

Liked some of the homes but you move your camera too fast. Slow down.

Please do not get hooked into a home owners association they are a nightmare
