    Thanks for this, I've gotten better at implementing these though its often still a struggle to have the presence of mind to do so when the anxiety is unexpected. I so use reason to determine that likely there is no real threat and/or my perception may not be correct though admittedly there is often the emotional and logical battle in my head. Preempively, I find I use the breathing technique. Not sure how it fits. I do also use the first one in circumstances where I know much of it is out of control, such as past mistakes or upcoming job interview, telling myself that all I can do is prepare for the interview to best of my ability but have no control of the interviewers choice.
