Thanks Doug 😊👍 I was hoping to cover the entire adventure course on that run, we re'tuned the entire course just for that trip around, there wasn't a blank, or flat open spot on it, we made sure to fill in all the gaps, But "unfortunately, with the size of our tour group & and the amount of obstacles in front of us, there just wasn't enough time.😄 Hopefully Ian & I can get out there this weekend "with the Trx 4's" and get a full run in without pushing a 3 hour run time.😄 lol "Seven people" is a different story 🙄 That would be an all day adventure, and might possibly require a battery recharge, half way through.😂 Many thanks for checking in Brother, and many more for watching the show. 😊🤜🤛👉🏆

Thanks for all of your great compliments Kevin,😊👍 as for "Bronco #1" it's ready for a run any time, but I'm hoping to get it's lift kit installed before hand,😄 I've been meaning to do a lift kit install video since the beginning of the month, but keep getting sidetracked with winter prep work around the house.🙄☹️ Since we primarily heat the house, and the RC workshop with wood burning stoves, there's quite a bit of firewood that needs to get gathered before the snow flys,😒 "and that's a huge time consumer.🙄😫 Drives me nuts really! 😕 I hate putting that much time into restocking the wood supply,🙄 all I can think about while doing it, "is everything else that I could be doing instead,😕 "like RC related stuff" but instead it's nothing but chainsaws, log splitting, and stacking.🙄 Kinda sucks really! 😕😒 Nevertheless... Ian's red trx4 bronco has been sitting on the workbench since the beginning of the month, "along with his lift kit, and everything else required for the job, The only thing that's holding me up "is Time itself.🙄😕 Hopefully I can get both of those lift kits installed this week, Ian's trx4 bronco will be getting done on camera, and then I'll be doing the install on my bronco off camera.😁 So "hopefully" I'll have them ready to go by this weekend, 🤞 I know..we've all heard that before 🙄 But I'm seriously going to try my hardest "to get them both lifted, before this weekend. 😁👍 Thanks again for all your kind comments and compliments Kevin, and many more for checking out the family RC adventure. 😊🙏🤜🤛

Shouldn't be too bad of a job, definitely a lot easier than installing trx4 axles on a Ascender.😄 As for the price... it must be going up, I think I paid around $150.00 for it, but that was a couple of years ago.😄

I like running 2,2 tires once in a while, But not all the time,,,

The hightrail works well with those bigger tires,That what traxxas says for the most part they do well,,2.2s

Sorry for the delay bro... 2.2's ; That was something that I just covered on the lift kit install video, fyi I installed Ian's bronco lift kit yesterday, and there's going to be a healthy install video to go along with it, along with discussing 2.2 tires and all the different outer diameters that they come in. As far as 2.2's go, they make them as small as 1.9's all the way up to almost 6" in outer diameter. For instance... the trx6 stock 2.2's are actually the same outer diameter as the stock 1.9 canyon trail tires at 4.65" but that is much smaller than most of the 2.2's that are available, for instance the Rc4wd 2.2 mud slinger, is a pretty small 2.2 at 4.88" but the Proline Micky Thompson Baja Pro X 2.2, is 5.88" in outer diameter, and that's a huge difference when it comes to trying to stuff that tire into the rear wheel wells of a Trx4, and would never work on a trx6 just because the rear tires would be so large that they would rub together between the two rear axles.😕 So when it comes to 2.2 tires, it all depends on what they're outer diameter is, small 2.2's will work fine, but larger ones aren't going to fit very well without removing the inner fenders first.😕👌 As for myself... I don't have a problem with 2.2's, but if I eventually switched over to them, I would have to redesign my entire adventure course around them, in order to make things a bit more difficult and challenging for the vehicles, those larger tires would take all the fun & fight out of the adventure course compared to running 1.9's, plus I would have to spend a serious amount of money in order to boost up my 2.2 tire collection.😂 So at the moment I pretty happy running with 1.9's. 😄👍

😄 Ha ha ha lol You finally got an Ascender.. Nice!!! 😁 Ascenders crawl pretty smoothly, You're definitely going to love that truck Kevin.😁👍 Tech tip; Swap out the 14t pinion gear for a 12t pinion gear, and it will drastically increase your low speed crawl ability, and obstacle approach crawl ability,🤔 As I've been saying on my previous videos featuring my K10 with the Traxxas trx4 portal axles, "The Vaterra's differential Ring & Pinion gears, are geared pretty tall,🤔 and dropping down the Motors pinion gear from that 14t to the 12t, is a good way to compensate for the Differential gearing.☺️👍 Metal Links & Rock Sliders; Nicely done 😁 But keep in mind at the end of the day "that plastic slides over rocks better than metal" 😉👍 My tf2 is all metal, and it doesn't slide over rock's for poop! 🙄😂 Lol My K10 & Bronco Ascender both have metal links, and it's the same thing for Ian's K5 Blazer ascender, The Suburban is the only one we have "that's equipped with the plastic links" and unless something tragic happens to them, I plan on keeping them as plastic.😄👍 Wheelbase; You didn't talk about this but I am.😂 Lol The suburban looks long.... But in all reality it's actually shorter than a Redcat Gen 8, "Redcat Gen 8 has a 324mm wheelbase, and the Suburban is sitting at 318mm I believe.😁 Working tail lights; Cool! but please explain further... 😕 Did you install the tail lights, or were they on it when you bought it ? And what do they look like ? 😕 Redcat Gen 8 V2 tires; Well if their anything like the Iroks that came on the V1 Gen 8, then their probably not as good as you think they are,😕 I thought that the Gen 8 Iroks were good at first, and then I switched out to a different set of tires and learned better.😄 Lol The Gen 8 Iroks are okay, but their square edged sidewalls, and overall narrow width, makes them want to dig holes vs navigating through certain terrain types.😕 But otherwise their not bad. 😁👍 I could actually do a giveaway with those tires, I think that I've got at least two complete sets of those, "I might even have three complete sets 🤔 hmm Two sets are brand new, and the other set is from my nieces Gen 8,🤔 but yeah... I should do a giveaway with those ?!😁

When they sell these things, They seem to rob the bumpers and the radios out of These things for some reason, just sell the thing complete, I guess they consider the Vaterra radio pretty valuable equipment,, Anyway, They have a brand new one on ebay,, In the box, Ridiculous$700??;; Out of my League

@kevinbreaker2683 How much did you pay for yours ? "If you don't mind me asking that is" 😕 Transmitters & Bumpers; As for the Transmitters, I don't know why they don't include them 😕 it's not like it's all that special or anything,🙄 I think that I've got at least Three if not Four Spektrum DX2's and DX3's sitting here, "that we put off to the side in favor of binding up the vehicles receiver, or receivers, to an existing Spektrum DX4C transmitter, or transmitters. As far as other people not including the original transmitter... I have no idea! 😕 "Shoulders shrugged" All of our Ascenders came with Transmitters, "3 we're purchased used, and 1 was purchased new, but they all came with transmitters.😕 Bumpers; Well depending on which Ascender you're looking at, depends on wether or not that particular vehicle came with bumper's to begin with. K5 Blazer Ascender; Two different versions were available, The Red One was the RTR version, And the Blue one was the Kit version, Kit version came with aluminum oil filled shocks vs plastic, Both versions have a Frame mounted Front and Rear Bumper, As well as Frame mounted plastic rock sliders, "It also includes headlight and running light buckets up front, but it doesn't include bulbs, or Rear Tail light buckets. K10 and F100 Ascenders; Have a Frame mounted Front Bumper, but no Rear bumper,or Rock slider's, The first gen K10's didn't include Headlight buckets, but the later generation did, along with the F100, But neither one included Tail lights. Bronco Ascender; Doesn't include any Bumpers or Rock slider's, "It does include Headlight Buckets, But it doesn't include bulbs, or Tail light buckets. Suburban Ascender; First Gen had no headlight buckets, but the next generation did, along with amber running lights built in to the chrome plastic trim bumper, "that's mounted on the front of the body, And neither version comes with tail light buckets. As for "bumpers" it Does Not include a Frame mounted Front & Rear Bumper, or Rock sliders, But it does include a Chrome Plated Plastic Trim Bumper attached to the Front & Rear of the Body, "which looks ok, but doesn't provide any kind of protection whatsoever.😄 Lol Another Ascender note; is that they don't include mirrors on the driver & passenger doors,🙄😞 Which is a design flaw in my opinion,🤔 same thing with the lack of Tail lights,😕 I think that if they originally came with All the extra trim goodies, that Vaterra would have sold a whole lot more of them.😊 Gen 8 Scout mirrors work great on the K5 Blazer and the old Ford Bronco, but the Suburban,K10,& F100 are a little harder to shop for,🤔 and that's because the body seems to be a slightly smaller scale vs the K5 & Bronco,🤔 The K5 & Bronco are closer to a true 1/10, But the others seem to be closer to a 1/12 body on a 1/10 chassis 😕 not sure why Vaterra shrunk down the body's, but they are definitely a little bit smaller in scale, and definitely harder to fit with aftermarket mirrors and driver figures.🤔😞 But still.... I love all of our Ascenders 🥰😄 And they crawl incredibly nicely for a low tech crawler, their right on par with a stock trx4 "in most areas" 😁👍
