I was surprised Settra lasted as long as he did, especially with some of the focus fire from the Tzeentch units early on! Love to see Tomb Kings doing well even into matchups that should be so deadly for their lord units.

I think it's actually not too surprising. Tzeentch has ironically some of the worst shooting in the game, while the total missile strength is somewhat high, the AP dmg is really bad. Even exalted pinks have only 7 AP.

10k HP, light yet sustained healing, heavy armor, and running away when the screamers came knocking! That HP is enough to not get sniped by Tzeentch magic alone, the screamers died ultimately ineffective, and the daemon only brought one single real ranged unit (not that he needed any more, mind). I'm guessing you'd see more pink horrors if blue horrors, and now the blue horror that IS a pink horror, wouldn't be easier! And yet, blue horrors aren't even a real archer, so that'll tell you something too. Flamers have some strangeness going on, but needing to protect them is too much to ask for most daemon armies to begin with.

What an absolutely nail biting match. I kept going back to the video only to see the games flipping back and forth constantly.

The close fights are always exciting. Love to see new builds and fun tactics coming from chaos.

Turin is out here spamming the “GGWP” at the end of the video. 😂 great cast! Nurgle healing seems under explored in both combined factions. New Daemons DLC should be really interesting to see how they develop.

Bolt of Change (the T2 Tzeentch ability) does also break armour if I recall correctly, so you can can use it on unuts besides single entities. Still weird to use it on skeletons though.

Once settra dropped to half he pulled away from the blues. Demon player started focusing on the ror sphinx. That was a mistake. That thing has some big fire resistance. I would either have conserved the ammo or started blasting the horseman or stalkers. Scrappy game tho.

Still hoping Settras chariot gets some updates. Would love to see it in action some more.

This wasn’t a good day for khorne, as skeletons don’t have blood to spill. Thoguh they have skulls so I guess it isn’t a total loss.

Close games like these are the most enjoyable.

I think the purpose of the bloodlethers is to slash skeletons and being able to do good dommage to Tomb king’s single entities why the Armor piercing when they rush in :)

Yeah targeting prio was a bit of an issue. In the end all of those blue fires that went into settra amounted to nothing, so he either needed to get focused harder or just ignored. DoC definitely showing a weakness in the lack of infantry based anti large.

You know, for game3 focusing on Chaos it sure seems like most of the Chaos factions are in the pits. WoC is great and Norsca is good too, thankfully, Chorfs suffer from poorly balanced power creep so it's hard to be happy about their performance, Khorne is okay (Jugger cav being useless is a tragedy, though), Nurgle is out of the toilet but not out of the bathroom to be honest, I can't remember the last time I saw Slaanesh being played unironically, Tzeentch is adding sad bird noises to the sad cow noises of the BM in the deep end of the pit where sunlight dare not tread, while DoC are drilling toward the planet core in search for new rock bottoms it seems.

It changes every patch. Slaanesh and WoC were top tier before the hellstrider nerf, Tzeentch is oppressive in land battles and both Khorne and Nurgle have teeth.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but despite being close I didn't think this one was an especially good game. It felt like the bad old days from the early period of domination mode: just shove unit after unit onto the capture points and win if you can keep the conveyor belt of reinforcements rolling.
