After seeing the upstairs floors I can certainly see why Gwendolyn wants the chateau completed before anymore work gets done on the convent. It's important to have your own home in order for your self-esteem.

Their cottage is finished , they don’t live in the chateau . There are several cottages on the property where all of the family live. They use the chateau as a venue for events and parties and for Gwen’s retreats. So it will be great to have more rooms ready , so she can host larger groups at the women’s retreats 😊 That’ll give a lager income to put money back into finishing the renovations. I bet the kitchen is going to be expensive… and beautiful !!

And tradesmen skills value are just going up, as there are fewer and fewer going into vocational work. Average age of skilled tradesmen in the U.S. is 53. When they retire, there is going to be a huge shortage. Some state are already spending millions on new tradeschools.

I’m 78 years old, living in Oregon. Just here to say I really enjoy your content. Also, it is a joy to watch Simon and Yanis work. Simon is a sensitive, consummate professional. I once helped with taping and floating a Reno, and making plaster smooth is a difficult task. I hope Simon will be back at some point. Believe it or not, I also attempted to become a nun back in 1963-64. Obviously, I rethought that goal. You’re doing a beautiful job at the convent as well as the chateaux. Given the age of the convent, I’m not surprised there are ghosts. That, however, is a subject for another day, another comment. Keep on cracking on…I’ll keep watching.‼️❤️💫🪅👍🏻🙏🏻🌹🎊👏🏻🎆

Hi Billy, The chateau is coming along so nicely. We are so happy you are back there, you home is so soothing and peaceful. We missed seeing the horses and all the wonderful things you all are doing there, hope Michael feels better soon. Love seeing Simon and Yanis working together, he has learned so much from Simon. We will miss seeing Simon but I'm sure he will have fun at his golf tournament. Hopefully we can see Michael's cottage renovation and the green house. The rooms and hallway are coming along so well. Even with the plastering that Simon is doing is making the walls look great. You are very lucky to have such wonderful people working with you. Everyone have a great day.

Thank goodness you have quite a bit of scaffolding from that generous company, as this is a tricky staircase to tackle. Simon has done a brilliant job so far and it will be Yannis's turn to shine next week. I am confident that Yannis will do a first class job as he has already shown us his skills in a previous video. He even excels at looking after the children. I would love to see Simon's farmhouse again as it is such an interesting building. Going to miss Simon so much again but hope he will be back later in the spring/summer. Thanks Billy. 🙂

Billy give your mum a hug for me please 🥰🥰 she shared a recent picture of her kitchen with me yesterday and it is very much appreciated as I have always wanted a fresh green kitchen 😁❤️ showed my sister and she agreed it works so new exterior color going up this summer, a similar but softer muted green, and hopefully next spring.... a spring green kitchen with Roman shades!!! 😁😁😁❤️
