Super helpful Ben. Just got delivery of my bike to Cayman. Getting it registered and licensed this week hopefully. But have tried it and wow. Insane torque.

Great video. I rode a Del Mar for the first time a few days ago and had a blast. My previous bike got stolen a few years back and I’m debating on getting a new one, but the Del Mar is top of my list right now.

@@AdventuresonZero BMW S1000rr. I was so upset that I couldn’t even look at a bike. Now I think I’m in a better position to get back into it. I will say I’ve always had sport bikes in the past so the livewire would be different for me but it felt more comfortable. I don’t really like the leaning forward as much anymore. I also have a Tesla so figured if I got one it would be electric just because I don’t really want a gas vehicle anymore.

@@Gary_Walker90 oh wow, I would feel the same way. LiveWire def feels like a cross between a sports bike and a something else. Good that you’re already accustomed to the charging lifestyle. Have you tried the LW1 as well as the S2?

@@AdventuresonZero I rode the L1 when it first came out and liked it. I really just find the L2 a bit more attractive and I figured that they would learn from 1 and improve upon their battery components etc. in the 2.

I dont have the star wrench that they use on the bar ends to test this out, but could we just swap the mirror arms to have them the way we want them, but without having the warnings on the mirror be upside down? I notice you spin yours out the way i did when i first got on the bike, lol.. Are they some how designed to be only a left or right?

No they’re pretty easy to flip over, just a small pinch bolt that holds it on. Just flip them and under mount them

Hey Ben, I was wondering if you have tried any of the Tesla to J1772 adapters for your LiveWire. I was thinking of taking some longer trips and if I run into a situation where there is only a Tesla destination charger available I would like an option to use it. I bought a cheap one last summer off amazon and it didn't work for me. I was hoping you know one that will for sure work that isn't overpriced. You could likely get some good speed out of a Tesla charger with your Del Mar.

I haven't. I had a Teslatap mini a few years ago when I had a Zero DSR, and have been waiting for one to come on FB marketplace for a decent price. As soon as I get one, I'll test it out and put it in a video. Great way to open up charging opportunity on longer trips. The TelsaTap minis are pricey, however the build quality is exceptional and the compact size makes it more desirable than others.

Did you get this delivered to your house instead of to a dealer? mine is going to a dealer and i assumed they would do setup etc at the dealer. Is that not the case?

Picked it up from the dealer. I’m sure I’d I asked the dealer to set it up, they would have. However I was on a timeline to get back home.

There is a pre owned Del Mar limited edition 100/100 available for $12k. Is that a good deal? Is the brand new cost $17.5k? Do you have any regret owning the Del Mar?
