I used to be a senior manager at Carphone Warehouse, we sold truckloads of these phones! They are perfect for the elderly and folk that just want a simple phone! Great tutorial.

Oh did you! My flatmate from uni worked there too, (back in the day) it sounded really interesting. A mix of people and tech!! They do usually buy their phones from Carphone Warehouse. We liked the Doro Phone so much my Nan got one too.
Showing us how to put a SIM card in would be a good start otherwise it is unusable.
I've been looking at Doro phones to replace my maddening Moto E6, which is so slow and jumpy it has me tearing my hair out. This demo was great and the phone looks really responsive. Thanks for taking the time.

@@natashanatters Do this phone recieve messages one at a time, or does it show the message history with that person, the same way most modern phones do?
Great video. It shows me exactly what I want to know about this flipper. Looks like a winner.

the thing is each phone is different. It's so hard to simplify things to not confuse our elders!! I thought it was worth filming while helping my Grandad and share. Shame it took me a few years!!
Thanks for sharing this, Natasha! For a second, we thought it was a prank!!!😂😀😀😍😍👏👏Because nobody would use this kind of phone in 2020...Until we realized the video was shot in 2015! But you're right, someone might find it useful. In today's world of fast Internet, we slow down while watching this video, setting ourselves up at "snail pace." That's fantastic. Thanks for bringing us back into the past. It's amazing how something that was released just a few years ago is now kinda 'vintage stuff.' Good were the old days of Nokia and Motorola cell phones. Have a great weekend. - *Your Awesome Friends at The S'witty Kiwi Show* 💙

I actually thought the chances of me finding out anything about this Doro phone was very slim but I found you here firstly I must apologise for not waiting until the end of the video as my phone says SOS CALLS ONLY it's my mother's phone she visually impaired &im her carer so it's very important I get this sorted Thank You 💐

Hi Kevin, thanks for watching and leaving me a comment, and the flowers! 😁 I really appreciate it. I’m sure your mother really appreciated the effort you went to. When I made the video I was helping my grandad who isn’t good with tech. It’s a different kind of phone to get used to but the best one I have seen for older folk.
You really showed a lot of the features and how to use them.
My grandma has this exact phone but I’m red - I actually think it’s a great phone. She’s in love with it and never wants to switch haha 👌🏽 This was a great tutorial cause I’m her IT gal😂 - Kirsten

Oh wow, really! Yes, this video was filmed with my Grandad who then inspired my Nan to get one. So much easier for them!! Being the IT gal is a nice way to help our elders. Just need a house phone similar so they can hear me when I phone!!
That was so nice to set it up for him. They have similar models here.
This looks such an easy phone to use for the elderly!

Thanks for watching Peter. It really is. The Doro Phone seems to be the easiest phone for a pensioner to use! Years later both family members are still using them!!
Thank u so much
Does roaming work in it? Was thinking of buying an extra phone for my holiday in Asia.
I'm having problems ringing my dad's phone as I want to put my dad's old number from his previous phone but don't know how to do it and I ring my phone number but comes up with a different number?
Hello Natasha. Just watched the tutorial. You never mentioned the A,B,C buttons or Emergency button. These are fundamental right ? ( I guess these are the speed dials). Is there a video on this ? I have a phoneesay 610. Very similar to the 612. thanks

Simply dial the number you want for say, “A” on the main screen, then press and hold the “A” button. You will then be asked to type in the name you want displayed when you press “A” in future. Once this is done, press OK. Repeat for “B” and “C” as required. Hope this helps.
Seems like a useful video. Shame the camera wasn't held steady for those of us who deal with motion sickness
my mother doesnt know how to puy the speakers on when we call her. Is it possible to turn the speakers on automatically when you get a call?

@walat1425 I don't know if this is still relevant, but your mum should be able to turn the speaker on by pressing the green call/answer button a second time. Hope that helps
When I call someone, I can't show it to me. Unable to connect Please tell me what is the solution By the way, he came to me as a gift from France, and I live in Tunisia, and at first he called, and then he didn't.
